The room for 3 pax was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom although very clean could do with updating. It would have been much more pleasant if it’s made less sterile and cosy like the room. Appreciated free Netflix for a cosy night in. Hotel is clean and efficient. Location is close to supermarket and food.

Very good, near the center, just beside the market, turn around, have parknsave supermarket ((very big), 7 minutes drive away from Massey University, have a victory park around driving 5 minutes.

Big spaced and one bedroom, check in was smooth. Very much enjoyed our stay, did regret not booking another night while in the region. Definitely will be staying here again when we pass through Palmerston North. So close to the town centre within walking distance to super market, takeaways and the town Mall. Love it. Comfortable beds and smelt clean 🙂

Sorry but the electric jug needs replacing, I first thought the stain was due to heat but some of it came off when I wiped it. And I was in unit 10, the unit was ok but the car park for the unit isn’t good for a larger car- needed about a 14 point reverse manoeuvre to get out of the park.

I stayed at Avenue Motel for three nights. The motel is located closed to supermarkets as well as the city centre so it’s handy and easy to go out to do anything. A room is clean and staff is very friendly to make me feel comfortable to stay so I definitely come back to this motel on my next visit to Palmerston north.

Couldn’t recommend more highly. Such a kind and pleasant owner. Exceptionally clean motel, very comfortable beds and everything one could need. Close to the city centre but quiet. Excellent parking. We had been let down very last minute by “The Quality Suits” in Palmerston North and found ourselves stranded (after a long flight from singapore) with no accommodation on the eve of our daughters graduation from Massey University with nowhere to stay. PN was fully booked as you would expect. This motel owner could not have been more helpful and managed to shuffle things around to fit us in. He really saved us and we went on to enjoy our special family celebration. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in PN this place and owner is gold. Thank you.

Excellent Motel easy walking into the Centre. Very Quite in Motel even though on Busy road. Reason , Eye clinic in front you go passed to Motel. Never heard any noise all 3 nights there brilliant. Separate Bedroom at the back of Unit , very comfortable Bed.. Plenty of Hot water in shower. Free washing and drying machines. Only criticism is the high breakfast stools. Plus cupboards top shelf with plates etc. Can Not be reach by 5’ 4“ person Stools very difficult for me 5’ 6””

Excellent location in the middle of the city. Very friendly host and very clean and tidy unit. The bathroom and living area were a bit inconvenient. The ranch slider/ entrance door needs new bearings.

An amazing stay here as it was ideal and served the purpose of being located close to the pools and to the square. Thoroughly enjoyed and would certainly return.

There is actually a lot to like about the Avenue Motel The Good: The Motel is situated down a long driveway off one of Palmerston Norths main drags. The City has a real problem with Boy Racers with their incredibly loud cars hooning around all night. Add to that sirens ect. With most of Palmerston Norths motels on main streets, noise can be a real issue. The Avenue Motel however, located well off the road was fantastically quiet. Didn't hear any road noise, and was even able to sleep in! The rooms are dated, but still very clean and functional. Heat Pump/Air Conditioning on the wall. Great for those cold and windy Manawatu days. The Kitchenette was well stocked with everything you might need/want to cook a half decent meal. The Beds were comfortable with good, clean white linen. Shower had decent water pressure, albeit with quite a fiddly mixer. The location is perfect, with heaps of Car Parking outside each unit. Quick walk over the road to Pak N Save Supermarket, the Plaza Mall, Burger King, and several Bars and Restaurants. The Bad. After a good sleep In, I got up at 7.45am to have a shower, brush my teeth and get ready for the day. I still had all the curtains shut in the unit. I showered and headed out to the lounge where my Suitcase was to get dressed. To my absolute disbelief there was an Elderly man in my Unit, and he was pulling back the curtains. And here I was, with a small towel wrapped around me and nothing else. Thank goodness I had a Jumper within easy reach. The Gent did nothing except smile, turn around and then leave again! In the process leaving the Ranchslider wide open to the Car Park. I was incredibly embarrassed and a little  angry and the invasion of my privacy. It was nowhere near Check out time, the door was locked, my car was directly outside, curtains closed and my suitcase sprawled across the couch. Why on earth did he unlock the Ranchslider and let himself inside. I went across to Reception to try and get an answer, but no one was around. It was a real shame as it put a real downer on what had been a good stay up until that point. I think I would return if the price was right. It was a very clean, functional, and quiet Motel.

Very quiet place.owners are on site Very nice people. 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped with kitchen facilities. Close to all facilities. Very clean.

Avenue motel, first impression, very unassuming. We were pleasantly surprised, rooms were like tiny apartments, very clean and well stocked. Washer and dryer with detergent were available right across our room. We did our laundry at no charge. Owner was very helpful and accommodating and lives on the premises. He let us do a late checkout. Great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as a large grocery store. All in all, it is a good place to break your journey. Ours was midway between Napier and Wellington.

Excellent in every way. Only glitch was absent reception on attival.
