I am currently staying at the Polihotel in West Hollywood. I booked 2 rooms one for a total of 5 and the other for 4 nights. One Of the rooms was for the amount of $863.32 and the other room for $694.31. The ending total for both rooms should had been $1,557.63. , but instead it finished being $2,420.96 that is an additional 863.32 to my bank account. Upon check in the front desk agent ran my debit credit card several times for my rooms . Every-time she ran my card , it kept placing an hold on my funds on my card. Leaving me with out money for my 5 night stay in Hollywood. I tried to explain this to several people in front desk including a gentelmen by the name of Leo . That’s when the blame game started . I was told it was my fault because my card declined , that it was bookings.com fault , that I needed to contact booking .com so that I could have this sorted out. And finally that I need to call my bank so I can get my money back. All of this is confusing and frustrating , No one at the front desk wanted to help , the attitude was like they did not care, there was no ownership what so ever. I have been in the hotel business for over 21 years , when situations like this occurs the hotel and the guest will come up with a solution together. I told Leo that the hotel needed to call my bank and provide their merchant number, and that the bank was going to request a letter from the hotel requesting that release . The response I got was that I was the one that need to contact the bank. So here I am ; day three ,stuck in my hotel room trying to get this sorted out . I had to cancel most of the activities and my first time vacations to LA have been ruin. I would have been nice if a staff member would have explained this. Beware !
