Odor in elevator

The first floor smelled like smoke, the elevator smelled like sewage and the room had a mold smell. Spider webs were visible on lamp shades, the dresser drawers wouldn’t close.

Staff was nice. Annoyed that we did pre check in but had to wait for about 10 minutes because the lady in front of us hadn’t and was having issues. Also elevator smelled absolutely awful, they said it was hydraulic fluid but it was almost unbearable. Room was nice and clean but AC was very noisy, the fan rattled.

This hotel has only one elevator to service four floors - it was the worst smelling elevator - like old mop water and the worst body odor. And, it smelled this bad over two days and was never addressed. Like the episode of “Seinfeld,” it was BBO - Beyond BO. I can’t believe that no employees notified the front desk or cleaning staff of this wretched odor. Also, at breakfast the eggs ran out well before the end of breakfast hours and were not replaced. Also, two marked police units were on premises the morning of check-out. The night before a sketchy homeless-looking bum was driving crazily thru the parking lot - driving a beat-up, 40-yr-old Crown Victoria.

Staff was very pleasant but our room and hotel in general needs some improvements amd better cleaning.
