We recently stayed at the beautiful old castle owned by Dianne and Martin for four nights, and it was a wonderful experience. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it was lovely—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the space. Despite its size, it felt very comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast every day was absolutely amazing, a real highlight of our stay. Dianne and Martin were fantastic hosts, and the entire experience was charming and memorable. Highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a great place to stay! The room was really nice and the breakfasts each morning were delicious. The hotel is close to the town harbour as well, making it a good location. Dianne and Martin were very welcoming - we had a lovely stay.

This was a very friendly pub, close to our accommodation, it seemed like we had known them for years, helpful advice and fun banter were always aplenty we loved each visit. The pool meetings are of particular amusement, if you are looking for a fun friendly pub then this is the one, set in a peaceful location.

We received a friendly welcome, which continued throughout our stay by the lovely owners. The location is a good stroll out of the centre, but there is a walkway (Rodwell trail) which takes 20 mins - 30 mins depending which part of town you are heading for. It is close to a couple of beaches however where we enjoyed some time with our 2 daughters. Small car park but plenty of spaces available in the street outside. The breakfast was good & served with a smile. Also a decent bar available. We stayed in the family room - which was a good size with a bunk bed for our 2 girls. The bathroom was a little disappointing as all water worked from a macerator which was explained, but left the shower weak & a small sink made difficult to clean teeth etc. The wifi was very poor - again explained difficult in that part of the hotel, but I had to pay extra for a portable wifi connection. It was a pleasant stay overall & again the hosts were kind throughout,

I was greeted warmly on arrival and given all relevant information the room had just been refurbished and was clean and functional. I had a wonderful nights sleep and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for such a lovely stay! Would recommend.

We are local and used to go to the Old Castle every Friday for food and a wind down after a busy week at work, unfortunately, this has not been the case until this week. Food started being served last week, so we popped down and was not disappointed with what was on offer and at a great price too. We do hope this continues and other locals alike support the landlord and landlady who are working hard to make big improvements to the business and its surroundings. Well done Martin and Dianne, wishing you every success
