Lovely place to stay. Very friendly hosts who were informative about the area. Our room was comfortable (room 3),quiet, spotless, and adequate for our stay. Breakfast was amazing with a good choice, and the service was spot on.

We stayed as a couple in one of the apartments for four nights and had a wonderful break.jools and John are lovely people and are very accommodating.john introduced us to the apartment and explained everything to us..thanks John.The apartment was spotless,all that you needed was there.the bed was really comfortable,the shower was fine,as was the sitting area/ kitchen.breakfast is available for an extra cost but is cooked nicely and you don't feel over faced,also plenty of cereal and fruit,tea,coffee etc.the location is perfect for the harbour and town etc,thanks John for the recommendation of the grandby pub which was a short walk away...home made food and reasonably priced.havebbooked again for next year and look forward to staying again.

What a great little guesthouse. The owners are beyond lovely as is their staff. Felt very welcomed. The room was a great size and the amenities and space was aplenty. We will deffo recommend to anyone venturing to Whitby! And will definitely use them again in the future!

We have recently visited the Chiltern Guest House where we have stayed on a number of occasions. We would not consider staying anywhere else in Whitby. Like most of Whitby, it is on street parking but we have never experienced any difficulty with getting parked safely near to the guest house. As always, John and Jools were the perfect hosts and the entire staff are absolutely brilliant, really friendly and helpful. The guest house is perfectly situated for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. The accommodation is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and offers everything you would want. We would highly recommend the full English breakfast (cooked to your liking) but there are alternatives to suit every taste including fresh fruit, selection of cereals, toast, tea & coffee etc etc. We would whole heartedly recommend the Chiltern Guest House and we are looking forward to returning soon.

The Chiltern is a great place to stay .very clean ,great breakfast .Close to town am going back .The service was quick and the meal was hot and of good quality .there. s a nice garden to the front ,plenty of sunshine. Close by is the Elsinore pub ,that,s worth a visit

Great location less than five minutes in to the heart of Whitby. Apartment is well furnished and equipped everything you could possibly need. And at a very reasonable price, would strongly recommend Chiltern Apartments for any stay on Whitby

The apartement is conveniently located on the grounfloor of a recently refurbished terraced house on the West Cliff of Whitby. It consists of one bedroom, one sitting room with kitchen annexed and a bathroom and is perfect for 2 people. The table is placed close to a characteristic bow- window where we liked to dine. During our stay we walked along the coast on the Cleveland Coastal path exactly as Bram Stoker and his characters did more than one hundred years ago and visited all the features described in his famous novel. Mr & Mrs Hudson, our hosts, were really kind and helpful and we would surely consider to stay with them again on our next trip to magical Whitby.

Very good service and the room was lovely. The shower was a great size too. We had breakfast one morning which was very good and fresh. There were good options as well as fresh fruit available. The walk from the B&B into the town wasn't far at all, and with the weather being nice it was a nice stroll.

Beautiful guest house, a home from home. Nothing was too much trouble perfect host. Right in the middle of everything you would want in Whitby. Rooms lovely, parking, definitely found the perfect place to stay whilst in Whitby. It’s a must…

Just traveling back from a lovely stay at chiltren guest house . Hosts and staff were really welcoming and friendly .And were not put out . When I arrived past book in . Rooms were really clean and tided each day. In a great location with in walking distance of all amenities. Could not fault it .would definitely stay there again .And recommend the guest house .

Stayed for a couple of nights at the beginning of July. Fortunately we had a bedroom on the first floor - large bed, although fairly small room. God size shower. Excellent Breakfast (additional charge). Limited on-road parking, and a pleasant downhill walk to the Town - but remember you have quite a long walk back up to the Guest House. Very pleased with our couple of nights here - recommended, and would use again if in the area.

Such a wonderful stay at The Chiltern. Delightful welcome from Jules and John. Super double room with en-suite on the first floor as arranged in my direct phone conversation with Jules. Breakfast every morning was lovely and I’d definitely recommend the poached eggs although my husband said that the scrambled eggs were just as good. Plenty of choices of cereals, fruit and yogurts too. The lady who served us breakfast was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions to visit. As arranged in our prior phone call parking permits were all ready to cover our stay so we only paid a small additional payment for this and were able to park on the road throughout our stay. Obviously peak times were busy. All in all we were very impressed with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend

Stayed in Chiltern 2 the apartments..can't fault anything..spotlessly clean . Really modern..everything you need. .the bed is massive and so comfortable. .the shower is a fab size..great kitchen with cooker toaster kettle fridge all utensils..short walk to the shops pubs ect..hosts are on hand for anything you need. Lovely couple..Good parking..2nd time we've been and will definitely be back soon. .
