Very easy to get to.Rooms were nice and big. Very clean.Would book again here if we were to come to Lincoln again

Absolutely lovely place, very clean, pleasant stay, cleaning staff very polite, would definitely stay again, good choice of breakfast.

Although the room was clean, we found the whole experience disappointing. We paid almost £100 for a double room for one night and felt it was totally overpriced. The room was of a similar standard to a room in a hostel. The window had no adequate curtains, (just net curtains) so we had to hang an (unclean) blanket to block out the light. To advertise a continental breakfast as included is completely unfair. It consisted of 2 boxes of cereal, slices of bread in a plastic bag, a couple of yoghurts and 2 small slices of cheese. I'm afraid that we would not stay again and would not recommend Tennyson to friends or family.

The set up works well, instructions are clear. The single room I had was fine and the shower was excellent. Lots of shops, cafes, and takeaways close by and you can walk to the centre of Lincoln in 15 minutes. The only negative was the traffic noise through the night that disturbed my sleep. The second night was better, not so busy. The rooms are almost on the pavement so if you value quiet nights, look elsewhere. I did not know about breakfast so did not eat anything. I also did not know about parking for bicycles so I kept mine upside down in the room.

Whilst i get the concept of it being staff free, you have to ensure that everything works, for example my outside key safe box, if it hadnt been for the nice lady who was also a guest i wouldnt have got in plus my key was temperamental. Then when eventually inside the key pad into my room also worked sporadically. Just causes anxiety. Also no cleaning tem in my room in 3 nights 4 days is a bit too long

Arrived at the room at 7pm to be greeted with dirty unmade bed linen, used towels and mugs for drinks. After calling management helpline for asked to cope for one night and cleaners will attend at 8am in the morning. After saying no good to me and 8pm by this time, asked me to locate alternative accommodation for night even thou id booked two nights. Disgusting service and very rude on phone. I have travelled very much in my life and never received this kind of poor service at a hotel / B&B.

Stayed here for 1 night. Lovely room, warm, comfortable bed and very hot water. Limited parking meant we couldn’t park at the hotel and go out for a few hours prior to check in so this did disrupt our plans for the day quite a lot. Check in is 4pm and the parking space couldn’t be guaranteed before that time, however we did arrive at 3pm and thankfully the space was available. A later check out would be nice, 10am is pretty early and someone was knocking on the door to clean the room just after 10am, however the gentleman was very polite and happy to give us more time. Food is provided in the room for basic breakfast, some bread, jams/honey, cereal/milk, beans and yoghurt, also plenty of tea and coffee. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would definitely consider staying again. Excellent value for money.

It was nice. I had a good night's sleep, which is what i went for. Breakfast was cute. Check in was easy enough. However, the drape over the window was useless and might as well not be there. Passers by could see into my room.

Overall a comfortable guest house but we felt it was quite noisy as there is quite a lot of traffic in front of the property. They do provide earplugs but those were not enough for me. Breakfast items are provided in the room and downstairs.
