I stayed for 5 days and for the price I expected better all around. For the most part the staff was friendly but some were not service minded at all! The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the room I stayed in was not clean and smelled. I had poor drainage in the shower and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The maintenance guy tried to tell me the reasons why the toilet handle had to be held down was simply because it was a handicap room. I’m not handicap and I’m certain the toilet handle has nothing to do with that. He proceeded to tell me the water pressure being too high from a recent change of fixtures was causing the water to drain more slowly while showering…I’ve been to hundreds of home inspections and that isn’t typically a cause of “slow drainage”. They ended up moving my room to a room that actually smelled clean for the last two nights of my stay. The bistro is only open for breakfast and dinner and the Starbucks coffee at the counter isn’t made by someone trained to brew the drinks that Starbucks puts out to their customers. Overall, my recommendation would be to spend the extra 30 bucks and stay at the real Marriott across the street or even better….go to the Hyatt down the road.
