Our vehicle was one of three that had broken windows and items stolen in their parking lot. The hotel front desk and what appeared to be a manager handled it terribly. They don’t ask for vehicle information when you check in so we didn’t know about it until 10:30 am. The front desk asked us which of the cars was ours and then said they had already filed a police report, sent the camera footage, and they could send the footage to me also. They also said there was no reason to call the police since it was a Sunday and Holiday weekend they wouldn’t do anything until Tuesday. Everything we were told was a lie. I needed the police report for my insurance so when I called the hotel on Tuesday I was told they hadn’t filed it and would only provide the camera footage to the police if they asked. All three of the cars broken into were parked in the closest spots to the front entrance next to where they have signs for taxis to park. I commented when we parked that this spot felt safer than the back parking ramp area which has columns next to every parking spot making it difficult to park and dark. The hotel itself was nice and the breakfast was good. It was very noisy through walls and doors. Do not leave ANYTHING in your vehicle including items that don’t seem like ‘valuables’ like a blanket or empty reusable shopping bags. The maintenance man was a nice man who vacuumed the glass and covered the window for us. Breakfast staff were great. The front desk staff were dishonest.
