After leaving the hotel and driving 70 miles we discovered a mobile phone missing, believed left at the hotel. On calling reception, Ben started a long and thorough search and eventually found the phone in the used laundry pile. We are so grateful as the loss would have caused us huge problems. We feel Ben went above and beyond to help us. Well done! A couple of hours later we returned to collect it and thank Ben and show our gratitude.

Lovely room at the front spacious had everything we needed ,,, for the night benn at check in was absolutely lovely friendly & realy helpful. ,, lovely guy. Nice to be greeted with such a warm welcome. He was great with local knowledge,, & said he was on till 11 should we need anymore help. Great price great location. ,,, well done Ben

Room was very musty. Restaurant was very dirty and I therefore did not feel like I wanted to eat there. Left this hotel within an hour of arriving.. could not sleep with the smell in the room. Staff however were accommodating but this Premier Inn is in need of a full renovation. The whole building is very tired, dirty and dated.

A one night stopover on the way to Dorset, this was an ideal location to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we were well rested the next morning. One thing spoiled the stay. In common with most people we allowed plenty of time for our long journey. We encountered very few problems and arrived early. We decided to have something to eat and around 2.30pm asked if we could check in. The receptionist was almost joyful as he said 'no, it's not 3 o'clock yet. But you could pay £10 to get in now'. I have always found Premier Inns to be flexible, within reason, so this was just not acceptable. I can understand this policy if someone arrives an hour or more early, but this was just cynical attempt to make money. I will consider other options for any future trips I make.

The staff were excellent and service superb. So 5 stars on that front ! BUT The rooms ( no 4 & no 1 ) were nicely appointed and bed very comfy. But both rooms, on entering, gave an overwhelming stench of damp. Room 4 was by far the worst. It smelt mouldy/musty and the air felt damp also. I cannot believe that you allow this room to continue to be used. it is one of your "accessible" rooms which means it may be occupied by disabled persons who may have respiratory conditions like emphysema, COPD & asthma etc. If you can smell mould/damp in a room it means spores and particles from them are floating round in the room and being inhaled. This is totally unacceptable for ANY of your rooms least of all one deemed suitable for guests with disability issues/respiratory conditions. If the hotel had not been fully booked I would have asked for a different rooms.

This hotel is in a good location. Staff very friendly at check in. Food quality is poor and not great value. Whole hotel needs a revamp and major investment to belong to the Premier Inn chain.

Stayed here a couple of times and this trip was great. Lovely friendly staff and easy parking. Early check out at 2.30am to catch a flight for a great holiday with my best friend. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay here. Staff friendly and attentive. Room Clean and Comfy. View was excellent. Close to Cheddar Gorge and Weston Super Mare. Though hot breakfast wasn't buffet style, it was excellent quality. Will be staying here again

stay would be ok for 1/2 nights not recommend any longer.needs complete revamp. our overall stay was ok. but i can see why others would complain.

Typical Premier Inn - always reliable and the Brewers Fayre restaurant was very good and reasonable. Perfect overnight stop for an early airport arrival, as it’s a straight run down the A38 from hotel to airport - about nine miles and twenty minutes

The greeting was great from a lovely lady, unfortunately that’s where it fell apart. The room was damp / musky smelling and the bedsheets felt damp as well. Bar / restaurant looks unkept and dirty. The food came out cold and we were sat in a cold conservatory which wasn’t very welcoming or clean.

Lovely rooms, staff who mean well but some real management needed. Check in was not welcoming and made to feel bad we were staying out later for family event. There was a fire alarm, can’t be helped but no marshal anywhere to tell us where to go and a panic staff member running around! The worst bit is the restaurant and breakfast though. Again staff meaning well but lack management and left feeling a little unwelcome.

When we arrived we were left waiting for 20 minutes as there were no staff available to book us in. The lady then told us she was over the other side of the hotel but no signage was left to let us know this. We then booked a table for 6pm and once we arrived we got told there were no staff and there’d be over an hour wait. The food then arrived cold and soggy with staff that were completely rude and useless. The room was dirty, marks all over the bedding and the floor was covered in hair. Breakfast the next morning was just as bad. Rude staff when asking about orange juice being available and cold food again. We had been waiting for ages and instead of being served, the guy answered the phone several times instead of seeing to us. This was booked as a 50th birthday gift. Rooms shouldn’t be made available if there’s no staff
