Cane Creek Hideaway is located on Lewis Smith Lake within the beautiful William Bankhead National Forest. Our lake home (Built & Established in 2023) is a secluded, private retreat with 130' of waterfront. We offer a private swim dock. There are 4 adult kayaks and 2 child kayaks provided for your use. The property itself is almost 2 acres. We offer a four bedroom, 3 bath home which is the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends. Experience The Beauty of Lewis Smith Lake with Us! Cane Creek Hideaway sits on just under 2 acres of land nestled on a very secluded creek of Smith Lake. It is very quiet and peaceful. One of the things we love to do is to Kayak back up Cane Creek which is located within the Bankhead National Forest. It is a great adventure where you will be able to see the beauty of the National Forest. 70 Min Drive to Birmingham Airport or Huntsville International Airport 10 Min Drive to Marina & Restaurant, or 5 minutes by boat. 12 Min Drive to Downtown Double Springs where there are restaurants and a full size grocery store with a great selection of meat & vegetables. This is a 4 bedroom / 3-bathroom lakefront home with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kitchen has a double oven, cook-top, microwave and refrigerator. We also provide a keurig and a few starter pods. Master Bedroom - King / TV / Private bathroom / Walk-in Closet Master Bathroom – Full size with tub Bedroom 2 – King / TV Bedroom 3 – King / TV Bedroom 4 - Queen / TV Bathroom 2 – Full size with tub Bathroom 3 – Full size with shower Back Deck - BBQ Grill (propane), couch, 2 chairs, and a small table. Fire Pit - There is a large permanent fire pit right of the back porch overlooking the lake. There is a large, flat area that is great for soccer, volleyball, etc. The kids and adults will have a blast being able to run and play outside. Door and gate are key code access. You will have private access to the entire home, including the dock. Feel free to use our kayaks, and life jackets, or bring your own boat or jet skis! Hosts are available 24 hours a day to answer questions and assist, but will not bother you during your stay. We provide detailed directions and an Apple Map Pin for you to locate the house. Free parking is available for guests. Note that the property is located at the end of a 1.5-mile county-maintained gravel road, so your vehicle may get a bit dirty! We supply an initial small supply of basic bathroom amenities, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags are privided to get you stated with your stay. Bath towels and kitchen cookware is also provided. Propane is provided for the grill and indoor fireplace. Internet and WiFi are both available at the house. All five TVs are connected via WiFi and YouTube TV, Netflix and MAX is provided as well as 350+ channels on free Live TV. This is a remote and private retreat on the water in a forest, which means there are spiders, spiderwebs outside, wildlife, and insects that you will interact with as they are part of the lake and forest ecosystem, so please prepare your guests. We offer four 10’ Kayaks with paddles as well as 2 smaller child sized kayaks. Check pics for details. The kayaks can be put into the water from the dock or bank at the property. We do NOT have a boat slip or launch from our property for motorized boats. You will need to put in or launch from the public launch at Lakeshore Marina or Corinth Campground. You will be able to tie off onto our swim dock. We are on seasonal water which is spring through summer. There is always water there, but it gets too shallow for boat traffic, kayaking and swimming from September - February. It becomes more of a creek during these months.
