Beautiful hotel, staff friendly, service good. Food was good.

Visited Rookery as part of a spa weekend and cannot wait to go back. The thing that stood out for me was the faultless service, from the moment we arrived staff (from spa, check in, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, cleaners) could not do enough for us. Spa: spotlessly clean, good quality robes and towels, exceptional afternoon tea. Hotel: luggage had already been taken to our room, great spacious room, turn down service, again spotless. Bar: knowledgable bar man who was very attentive, lovely cosy a**osphere. Restaurant: food was exceptional quality, michelin standard, high attention to detail. Cannot wait to return here...the customer service was one of the best ive experienced recently..credit where it is due!

Wow what a stay...... booked to celebrate birthday and anniversary and what a fuss they made! Our room was beautiful/bucket of bubbles courtesy of the Hotel and other gestures that made us feel v special. The food was superb/surroundings and bed delicious soooooooo comfortable! Thank you for spoiling us for 24 hrs...... highly recommended!

Good afternoon Leanne, I just wanted to drop you a line to say a massive thank you for arranging another amazing stay for our board of directors last week. It was fantastic from start to finish. As always, you were wonderful in the lead up to the event and everything you promised was delivered. Thank you so much! Every single member of staff we met during the two days was so pleasant, helpful, professional yet down to earth and just an absolute credit to the hotel. I cannot emphasise enough the difference this made to our experience. Nothing was too much trouble. Special mentions to Carol who we cannot praise enough for how well she looked after us and her willingness to go the extra mile, and the staff who looked after us on Wednesday evening especially Grace (or Gracie) who was so impressive with the knowledge of the cheese trolley. The rooms were great, and the food was absolutely first class (even better than last time which we didn’t think was even possible). Thank you again Leanne, great job yet again! We chose Rookery Hall for a retirement dinner for 18 guests (with 12 staying over). The pre dinner drinks and canapes were perfect and the private dining room was spot on. The staff were excellent; nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive but never intrusive. The attitude of the staff was outstanding and their communication was spot on. The food was delicious and delivered superbly. Great hospitality skills, thank you for helping make the event the success it was.

Birthday treat for my wife. The staff were superb and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. Food/Bar service was excellent and a good choice of items. A massive thank you to the chefs who were able to produce some sugar free desserts for my wife (Diabetic) which really made her stay that bit special. James has a superb team there who make you feel like you are at home. We hope to be back soon.

Another superb visit to Rookery Hall. My sister and I have been visiting to Rookery for the last 15 years. It continues to provide the highest standard of both customer service and fantastic facilities. The spa, pool and poolside cafe provide the most relaxing experience, the hotel rooms are both extremely comfortable and provide everything you could possibly need for a great stay. The restaurant deserves a special mention providing food and wine of an exceptionally high standard. The head chef gets a big tick from us. The thing that stands out above all and makes for this hotel to be that extra bit special is the excellent customer service provided from every single member of staff. It is very clear that each and every one of them understand what “excellent customer service” means (even if it means stepping outside their remit) and also enjoy their role within the organisation. Here’s to our next visit.

We visited Rookery Hall for Sunday lunch recently and what a fabulous lunch it was! My husband is a difficult one to please when it comes to Sunday lunch and I have to say it was fabulous. We had 2 courses, with us opting for a cheese flan and a salmon starter, both very tasty and then followed by x1 roast beef and x1 roast pork, both were cooked to perfection and and veggies were plentiful. Big shout out to our waitress Collette, lovely lady who kept checking in on us throughout our visit. We will definitely be back!

Rookery Hall was the venue for our son’s wedding and reception on 1 April 2024. In addition we hosted a groom’s dinner there on the eve of the wedding. The bridal party and many of the wedding guests stayed at Rookery Hall for the weekend of the wedding. Liaising with the hotel in the preceding months was straightforward and we found all the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is an imposing building set in beautiful grounds with stunning views. The accommodation is immediately adjoining and is very smart. The food was excellent. Rookery Hall was the perfect setting for a child friendly wedding. Thank you very much.
