普雷斯頓酒店(Preston Hotel)

Excellent service from start to finish. Meg was exceptional throughout, always replied very quickly and answered any questions throughly. Service on the day was 5 star and the food was amazing, especially the home made quiches and cakes. Everyone who attended commented on the great service and food. Would highly recommend The Preston Hotel for any celebration needs.

Hotel has a strange feel about it, reception and access is restricted to after 4pm. I turned up at 3.50pm and despite knocking nobody opened up until exactly 4pm. Receptionist said she couldn’t open due to manager having a meeting. Receptionist pleasant enough, however manager walked past twice and no effort to engage or even a cursory good afternoon which is not a welcoming attitude. Hotel very dated looking and rooms whilst being clean are okay, however the furniture does leave a lot to be desired. I was in a “deluxe room” which was stretching the imagination somewhat, made me wonder what the “ordinary” rooms were like🤔 Lowest bed I have ever had in a hotel room, made getting out of bed in morning challenging for a 73 year old with a bit of arthritis. The coffee table was about a foot high making it a trip hazard, I moved it away from the middle just in case I had to get up in the night. Beware of hot water, it is scalding hot😵‍💫 Shower was okay once I got temperature set right. Cannot comment on food as I did not eat here. Unlikely that I would want to stay here again which is a shame.

Unfortunately, room was very cramped. Heater control was a bit faulty. No heater in bathroom so that was cold. Random step in the bathroom. Shower was nice and warm. Overall, I felt it was over-priced.

I had to find this hotel ay last minute which was not really in the area we wanted as my original choice was in Southampton. The double bed was very uncomfortable and noisy every time i moved and didn't get much sleep. Thankfully there was another bed and managed to get a better sleep there.

We enjoyed a long weekend at the hotel. Meg and her team worked hard to ensure that we were made very welcome. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. Our breakfasts were well cooked. All the Staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Taxi's were booked for us and we were even given directions on the quickest walking route into the town centre. The Preston Hotel was excellent value for money. We would definitely be happy to stay there again.

The bed had a metal bedframe, which was very noisy and creaked loudly every time you moved .I couldn't sleep and my husband ended up having to move into a single bed in the adjoining room . We struggled to get hot water for a shower although the staff were very quick to have a look at it .

Ideally situated in Yeovil with easy access to the main town. Clean rooms and a nice cooked breakfast although lacking in many other things one would expect at a breakfast sitting. Accommodation in both the main building and in annex.

The young woman on reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay again.
