Mike and Jo are wonderful hosts and their attention to detail is second to none! Rooms are lovely and well appointed. Everything was divine - 2 nights was not enough - We’ll be back!! We were lucky enough to do a walking tour of downtown historic York with Mike too which was fab Only change I’d make would be to reconfigure the common room/lounge room to include a telly - so you can watch the footy fireside Cheers and beers

Absolutely loved this Bed and Breakfast experience. Mike and Jo were both amazing a wealth and knowledge about the history of the Farm and the town of York. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed with private bathrooms . Breakfast was fantastic.

This is such a special place. We stayed for our wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect retreat. Cosy, clean bedroom, cute porch setup for reading and vino, lovely common area - and big, delicious breakfasts every morning!! Thank you Jo & Mike!

Beautiful property with excellent service from Mike & Jo, all amenities were superb and the room has a newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast was beyond compare and the homemade bread a lovely touch, especially the multi grain we had on our second morning

I was a guest earlier this month. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely shower and bathroom facilities and your own veranda seating. The furnishings are in keeping with the period of the house. The breakfasts are delicious, all locally sourced. The hosts could not be more helpful and really want you to enjoy your stay in their house. The peaceful and tranquil surrounds are all there to enjoy but at the same time it is ideally placed to tour this beautiful part of the world.

There is so much to see and do at Hope Farm! You can stroll through the Japanese garden, check out the chickens or pat the beautiful ponies!! The rooms are lovely, clean and bright, with such comfy beds!! The facilities include free WiFi access, reverse cycle air con, smart Tv, and endless tea and coffee! We really enjoyed the breakfast, made by the hosts, Jo and Mike! Jo and Mike are a lovely couple who share the history of their home and the town of York with such passion, you can't help but be swept up in the stories! Visiting York is a great idea, stay at Hope Farm and really enjoy the experience!!

Hope Farm Guest house was extremely comfortable and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and well sized and the recently revamped bathroom were nice and well-functioning. Breakfast was yummy and filling and our hosts kept an eye on any of our requirements. An enjoyable stay.

Most comfortable bed, lovely historic hope guest house that ticks all the right boxes . Delicious healthy cooked breakfast, Mike and Jo are so accommodating. Next time in York this is where we will be staying. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Our visit came at the end of a very busy few months and was exactly as described and perfectly designed to allow us to rest or wander! We had been a few times to York before but not had the chance to stay at this beautiful, (and very grand but still comfortable) guest house. Our hosts were exceptional; nothing was too much to ask. Everything from the marvelous bedding, beautiful towels, little amenities in the newly renovated bathroom, the personal touches in the sitting room and library, the fine china and glassware, the ambience, the décor, the gardens and surrounds, the cute farm animals and stone-walled quiet alcoves, artistic garden niches.... so many delights for our visit. We stayed for a couple of days but it felt like weeks of relaxation and magic. Hope Farm is located only minutes from the town centre, which in itself presented its own allure, from the piano and grand ballroom atmosphere present in the town hall to the numerous antique shops, cafes, galleries and quaint shopping options. Browsing along the footpaths, visiting the outdoor market, dropping into the local pubs and historic buildings was a truly delightful experience.

What a wonderful farm stay. The accommodation was excellent and the bathroom had been recently renovated. A very comfortable room with all mod cons. Our hosts Jo and Mike were very welcoming. We had a lovely stroll around the farm and met the animals. An inviting guest lounge is provided where we enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast. We would highly recommend this venue and plan to return.

Great location, lovely comfortable room, great hosts. Breakfast is great and overall just a great place to stay. Next time in York we will definitely stay at Hope Farm again, hopefully longer next time.

We had a lovely stay at Hope Farm. Mike & Jo had thought of every tiny detail to make sure our stay was perfect and it really was. I wish we had booked two nights so we could enjoy the place a bit more - it has a lovely garden, huge outdoor chess board and beautiful guest lounge with games, music, books...everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hope Farm Guesthouse, the room was very comfortable and we enjoyed having direct access from our room to the lounge with its open fire. We enjoyed meeting Jo and Mike and appreciated their hospitality and the time they both took to chat with us. The breakfast was lovely with the farm fresh eggs and all the trimmings, it kept us going for hours. It was great to experience the feeling of being in the countryside even though we were still so close to the charming town of York. It was a pleasure to walk around the gardens and meet the cutest little horses we have ever seen. We would be delighted to return to stay at Hope Farm Guesthouse when we are next in York to enjoy Jo and Mike’s hospitality once again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hope Farm in York. We had a very cozy room with heating and electric blankets which was a luxury. The shower head is unbelievable! I could have stayed in there for an hour. The owners Mike & Jo are lovely. We were able to store our mountain bikes in a shed overnight and I was even offered use of a fridge to store my plant based milk. Hope Farm is a beautiful property with animals, a lounge area with tea and coffee available at all times, books and games and the location is stunning. We would definitely recommend bringing your bike to cruise around town; its the best way to see all the charms of York.
