聖喬治賓館(St George's Guest House)

Arrives tard, nous avons trouvé un petit kit d'informations "check-in" La chambre familiale était très accueillante, avec une belle decoration, excellente literie (un lit double/un lit simple), une salle de douche/toilette sans fenêtres mais lumineuse et très propre. Nous avons rencontre le personnel dans la matinee, très gentil et sympathique! Parking gratuit dans le jardin (si la reservation est faite directement avec le hotel).

Really pleased we found this place. Great location in a quiet residential area yet so close to the city. We walked into the centre in about 20 mins and also got the bus which stops at the end of the road. The car park was handy but there was plenty of on street spaces when we visited too. I was visiting with a trailer so I was really pleased when they allowed me to park it in their carpark under cctv. We were staying for the weekend as it was my partner's birthday and the staff were so accommodating, providing balloons and chocolates in the room. Bed was really comfy too. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Managed to book this room on the morning of our visit to the races for the music showcase weekend, we were undecided if we should drive home or stay over after the races had finished, glad we decided to stay! The hotel was lovely very quiet within easy walking distance to the racecourse, the room was lovely and spacious and spotless, lots of nice touches! Had a really good nights sleep very peaceful! Thank you so much, nothing was too much trouble for you and all very friendly and helpful with checking in just lovely Yorkshire hospitality at its best! Beautiful hall way too with some nice touches and all the information you need! Thank you so much we will visit again!

Excellent in all respects. Friendly, efficient staff, comfortable bed (very!), Excellent shower, excellent (hassle free, secure) parking, excellent location. Perfect even down to the brand of tea in the rooms! I will certainly be back. Thanks to all concerned.

Prime location opposite the racecourse. Lovely room, comfy bed, staff very helpful and breakfast was really good - we will definitely return. Room was decorated for my husbands birthday & he was also given a cake by the staff which was a lovely touch 👍 Only drawback was you cannot take food or drink into the room but that wouldn't stop us returning. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

A very comfortable stay (huge comfy bed!) in a nice quiet location within walking distance of city centre. Helpful & friendly staff and a superb breakfast all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend St. Georges Hotel and will be very happy to stay again.

Lovely Hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, good choice for breakfasts, pancakes lite and fluffy. A great hotel for York Racecourse, entrance within easy walking distance. We stayed for three nights and will definitely stay there again when visiting York. Sue and Ken

Had a fabulous time at St George’s hotel in York that mummy booked for three nights as part of her week away! Although dogs are not usually catered for I was allowed to stay (at no extra cost!!) albeit I did make voice heard when mummy and her friend went for breakfast (for which I now apologise!) Alison was great fun but due to silly mummy not reading the instructions, she didn’t realise she had to ask for the room to be serviced. Parking a little tight, albeit a very skilled driver did reverse his huge van into the car park, which put mum’s parking skills to shame! Breakfast cooked very well but mummy said would have been nice to have an option of a croissant . Room was lovely, although for a twin room the two single beds were next to each other with shared bedding. Not an issue for mummy but some may find a little awkward. Thoroughly recommended

I had a one-night stay at the St Georges Hotel when I was in York for work. It was an excellent experience. Good communication from the hotel prior to check-in (they were operating a self check-in after 4 pm), spotlessly clean. The hotel has a small car park at the rear of the property. Breakfast at £15 was good value and better quality than many hotels in this price range: good continental selection and hot items prepared to order (I had the porridge - nice consistency). The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from York city centre with plenty of pubs and restaurants. VG value for money and strongly recommended.
