Die Gastfreundschaft im Weeke Barton war außergewöhnlich herzlich und die Lage, umgeben von Natur, bot eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Die Besitzer waren äußerst zuvorkommend, was unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich machte. Das historische Ambiente des Hauses harmonierte perfekt mit den modern ausgestatteten Zimmern, in denen es an nichts fehlte. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause gefühlt und können das Hotel wärmstens jedem Naturliebhaber und Wanderfreund empfehlen.

This is a truly special place. My partner and I fell in love with Weeke Barton from the moment we walked in, and were very sad to leave four days later. From the outstanding dinner and the lovely breakfasts to the gorgeous rooms and cozy bar, every detail of the property is perfect. The hosts are very kind and helpful with local recommendations. We cannot wait to return!

Lovely country house in great location to explore Dartmoor. Very pretty grounds and historic building that has been made very comfortable and beautifully styled. Fantastic hosts and we loved the delicious dinner and breakfast made with local produce.

Wonderful setting. Lovely room and bathroom, delicious breakfast, and a very charming hostess Jo. Would highly recommend.

This was our second visit and we were so happy to return, this time with our daughter. The room was lovely, the evening meal and breakfast were absolutely delicious and the setting even better than we remember. Our daughter asked if we could do all our holidays here in future 😊

We loved our stay at Weeke Barton. Sam and Jo have created a beautiful, relaxing set up that is nestled in the verdant, undulating Devon landscape. We stayed in the Kota room and enjoyed the views each morning and evening. Location-wise you’re in an ideal place to springboard to a number of local villages, the woods nearby, and the moor a little drive away, for plenty of adventures. As there’s an honesty bar you’re also able to kick back and relax in a number of relaxing rooms in the house at the end of the day. Sam & Jo provided us with such great tips for exploring the area and excellent dinner recommendations - ideal hosts. We stayed for two nights, and as is always a good sign, felt we could’ve stayed much longer.

Beautiful location and building. Wonderful hosts who are super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Stayed for a couple of nights and wish we had stayed longer. The rooms are comfy, the breakfast is top notch and evening meals are simple but delicious.

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with Weeke Barton. The hosts were superb. The house was beautiful with so much character. The bedroom (Avalon) was one of the best rooms we've stayed in. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, keeping the original features of the house, warm and comfortable. The bed was really lovely and we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was delicious and all the food is locally sourced. Our only disappointment was that we weren't staying longer. We will be back.

Just back from a wonderful weekend at Weeke Barton. What a find! A beautiful longhouse in a peaceful setting, tastefully renovated with the owners own unique style. Jo and Sam were perfect hosts, you felt like you were staying with your coolest friends. Helpful but not intrusive, they have created the perfect environment to relax but also make the most of the local area with their personal recommendations. The communal spaces feel homely and are backed by a low-key eclectic playlist which adds to the atmosphere. We loved the dine-in option which is offered on specific nights; for other nights there are plenty of ideas of where else to go in the area. Sam told us about ‘Emilia’ restaurant in Ashburton which is a total gem and a highlight of our trip. Breakfast is included and loved the “text your order 10 mins before coming down” to the gorgeous dining room. Super yummy with different options. We’ll definitely be back (and have told all our friends!) Thanks again Xx
