J'ai été extrêmement choquée de devoir dormir dans un lit simple de 90cm. Seuls les chambres d'étudiants ou les cellules de prison ont encore des lits de 90cm. Mais pas une chambre à CHF 240.-!!!!! Ce système suisse des chambres "single" avec un lit simple est indigne de l'hôtellerie suisse et péjore l'image de la Suisse pour les étrangers. Dans le monde entier je n'ai jamais dormis dans un hôtel qui offrait des chambres avec un lit de 90cm pour CHF 240.- Je vous recommande vivement de ne pas dormir dans cet hôtel!

Comfortabele kamer&badkamer. Prima bed. Zicht op marktplein, vogelkooien en meer. 4e verdieping/ in het dak: enkele trapjes te doen bij het verlaten van de lift, schuine muur langs één kant van het bed. Ontbijtbuffet: meer dan voldoende keuze! Broodjes waren afgebakken, die hebben we al beter gegeten. Appelsiensap was niet vers geperst. Er konden eitjes besteld worden!

Hotel Lowen is a beautiful traditional Swiss hotel situated in a spectacular location overlooking the lake. The hotel's staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in lovely Zug.

The location is in the heart of the old city, walking distance to many stores, restaurants and the business district (10 mins). It is a boutique-format hotel with a medium-sized elevator and a connected brasserie. The hotel is very clean with a modern renovation. The rooms have air conditioning. The windows fully open. The bathroom is a good size and includes a heater and hairdryer. The water temperature and pressure were great. Note that the only iron available is in the laundry room on the 4th floor and you would need to iron your clothes there, not in your room. Umbrellas are available to borrow. It is very quiet, perfect for a good-night's sleep. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast buffet is included with crossaints, fruit, yogurt, made-to-order omelettes and more. The service is excellent. The cleaning staff is kind and accommodating. The front desk even called me when I forgot something after checking out. Tips: Piu restaurant is a 5-minute walk and has authentic and tasty Italian food. Seeliken beach is where the locals swim and is also a 5-minute walk. The next time I come to Zug I will definitely stay at the Lowen.

We returned to the hotel Lowen in preparation for our daughter’s destination wedding in Engelberg. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and is on the shoreline of Lake Zug. It is picturesque and within the old town of Zug adjacent to a wonderful plaza that borders the lake. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are quite comfortable. We especially looked forward to the wonderful breakfast served in the mornings.
