Nice and convenient best location

Die Hotels in Zürich sind nicht billig. Da gilt auch für das Opera Hotel, werlches zentral beim Opernhaus liegt. Für ein Classic Zimmer bezahlt man CHf 263.-, und diese sind nicht wirklich geräumig. Glücklicherweise hatte ich ein Upgrade, so dass mein Zimmer etwas grösser war. Das Hotel ist schön, wenn auch nicht überwältigend. Es hat alles, was man braucht. Ich habe das Bügeleisen sehr geschätzt. Ebenso die feinen Badeprodukte und das helle Bad mit Fenster sowie die Klimaanlage. Einen richtigen Empfang gibt es nicht. Die Bar dient gleichzeitig als Rezeption, was dazu führt, dass das Frühstück mitten im Bistro serviert wird. Das ist vielleicht etwas einfacher als in anderen Hotels, und gleichzeitig ist man unter den Tagesgästen, die auf einen Kaffee vorbeikommen. Eine Tiefgarage mit gebührenpflichtigen Parkplätzen befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Worst hotel experience ever! I would not even give a 2 star to this hotel! +: location. This is it. -: don’t believe beautiful pictures you see on the website! The hotel doesn’t have a proper reception (combined with a bar), the staff is super unprofessional and rude. Especially the manager Alex Shreif, who was very agressive and rude to us, which made our Anniversary celebration at the hotel absolute disaster! The rooms are super old and dirty with scratches and spots ont he walls and floors, the room has almost no amenities, you hear everything as it’s an old building. The bed looked like in prison and made noises when moving. And this is for almost 300 chf per night off season! The manager refused us to change the room, as he said it’s what we booked, and on the top of that changed us with the Tourist tax, even if we are Zurich residents and it’s illegal. When we were showing him the quotes from the tourism office online, he said if we want we can call the Tourism office tomorrow. Never saw such a horrible service in a hotel worldwide! Shame on the Maili Selection hotels for the poor management!

Interesting hotel in a fantastic location. I have never checked into a hotel at a lobby bar but hey it worked. Fantastic location in Zurich one block from the LA k e with lots of cafes. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean with some good views. My advice would be to book the Superior rooms for 2 people. I booked the classic deluxe and did not realize a double bed is not a queen. lol...let's say it was a little tight...totally my fault. Would stay here again.

its a good hotel but not great. Location is great close from the lake. Comfortable bed. I would not recommend their breakfast- very few choices. Also no bottle water in a room and no garbage box. Very small space. It was not a noisy area, slept well with an open windows.

J’ai réservé une nuit dans cet hôtel. A la réception personne ne parlait le français. Un client nous a expliqué qu’on était sur-classé, mais qu’il fallait aller à l’hôtel d’en face "Ambassador". Ce fut une expérience traumatisante.

Eu e meu marido passamos 4 dias hospedados nesse hotel, e gostamos muito. Os funcionários são sólitos, o hotel é bom e confortável. Um 4 estrelas bem padrão 4 estrelas mesmo, nada além disso. O café da manhã é bom, mas não se compara ao café da manhã do Brasil. Pontos a melhorar: o elevador é um verdadeiro cubículo, falta 1 espelho de corpo todo no quarto, e poderiam retirar o carpete. No mais, o hotel é bem localizado e atendeu bem as nossas expectativas.

Everything from start to finish was amazing! We loved the location and we could see the lake and mountains from our room and balcony! Staff were all very professional , helpful and happy. Perfect!!!!!
