The Ambassador is a newly renovated hotel just off the lake in Zurich. Old town and shopping just minutes away. Train station and tour busses a 30-minute walk Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. WiFi didn't work but got a passcode for the business WiFi instead. Television also had some issues (kept rebooting). But, we chalk that up to a new place. Everything else was great!

first time in the silk restaurant-and also the last time...my sons vegan curry didn't taste like curry and there where only a few lentils...the vitello had hardly any tonnato...my soup was more a paste and had no flavour at all; my sons cesar salad had no pamesancheese, the sauce was missing and the ratio between lettuce and chicken wasn't balanced...the entrecote café de paris was a childs cut...and had very little cafe de paris on it...not a place i would invite someone in

The Ambassador Hotel is an amazing place to stay in Zurich. The building is historic and charming. Very nice spot. The rooms are excellent. Very clean and comfortable. The service is so good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks here were amazing.

We were glad we chose this hotel for the last few days of our 2 1/2 week Europe trip. This hotel really does live up to its small luxury boutique description. We were surprised to be able to check-in in the morning, and when there was a small issue with the room not completely ready, they immediately set out to fix it and treated us to coffee and pastry while we waited a short while. Service was great, and I am confident that if we did have any other issue during our stay, they would've resolved it to the best of their ability. The Superior room was great with all kinds of amenities, desk and table, convenient electric outlets, stocked mini fridge, a nice electric kettle, and a Nespresso Vertuo machine. The shower is massive with dual rain/handheld showerheads. The room lights and curtains are controlled by panels at the entry of the room and at each side of the bed. The balcony is large enough for a table and two chairs. Although the weather at the end of November wasn't great for sitting outside, the balcony provided a nice view. Our rate included breakfast, which was great as well. The slices of meat, cheese, bread, and egg dish were all delicious. The location next to the opera house and lakefront was a short walk from the nearest train station and still walkable to Zurich HB.

Hotel Ambassador à L'Opera is a nice place to stay. The location is great. The building is historic and charming. The rooms are clean, comfortable and stunning. The team is professional, helpful and friendly. The boutique hotel is a great place to stay.

I’ve stayed at several SLH properties, and this wasn’t as nice as I expected. The room was nice, they use Grown Alchemist products. The restaurant/bar was just ok (bartender was great). The area it’s located was fantastic, walking distance of 2m from the Chris**as market.
