Oh, dear travelers, gather 'round as I recount the harrowing tale of my stay at the infamous New West Inn Hotel in Amsterdam. Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster of an experience that will leave you questioning the very notion of hospitality! Let me start on a positive note, for it would be a disservice to neglect the shining beacon of hope that was the reception. The customer service there was an oasis amidst the barren desert of disappointment. The receptionists, with their unwavering smiles and polite demeanor, almost made me forget that I was entering the twilight zone. But alas, once I ventured beyond the cheery reception area, reality took a nosedive. The corridors seemed to have been designed by a maze-loving architect who had a grudge against sanity. The room itself was a fascinating blend of outdated decor and questionable cleanliness. It felt like a time capsule from the '80s, with carpets that had seen more travelers than Amsterdam's canals have seen bicycles. The beds were, well, a mystery. Sleeping on a mattress so soft is like cuddling with a marshmallow that refuses to let go in the morning! As night fell, I settled in for what I hoped would be a peaceful slumber. Oh, how wrong I was! The thin walls turned my neighbors' conversations into an impromptu symphony of sleeplessness. It felt like I had a front-row seat to an Amsterdam-themed episode of ”The Jerry Springer Show.” And let's not forget the unique amenities this hotel offers! Apparently, the New West Inn prides itself on a state-of-the-art plumbing system that faithfully mimics the soothing sounds of a waterfall. I half-expected to find a misplaced Amazonian jungle behind the bathroom door. To sum it all up, my stay at the New West Inn Hotel was a twisted adventure that will be etched in my memory forever. This was a journey of endurance I never signed up for. But let it be known, in this tale of woe, the receptionists shone like diamonds in the rough. Their impeccable customer service provided a glimmer of hope in an otherwise surreal experience. As for the New West Inn Hotel, it shall forever hold the title of ”Amsterdam's Weirdest Adventure,” a dubious honor that only the brave dare to undertake. Proceed at your own risk, fellow travelers, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Πήγα με τον σύζυγο και τα 2 παιδιά μου 7-11/3/23 σε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο. Μας έδωσαν ένα πολύ ευρύχωρο δωμάτιο δίχωρο με υπέροχα μεγάλα κρεβάτια και καθαρά σεντόνια και μαξιλάρια .Το μπάνιο φανταστικό , καθαρό, καινούργιο με ενδωδαπαίδια θέρμανση .Το δεύτερο υπνοδωμάτιο ήταν λιγο κρύο, ομως το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ ευγενικό και μας εξυπηρετούσε αμέσως και μας έλυσε το πρόβλημα . Μας άρεσε πολύ η τοποθεσία , είχε απέναντι σούπερ μάρκετ, εμπορικό κεντρο , λαική αγορά κα πολλά μαγαζιά με καλό φαγητό .Μπορούσες να πάρεις το τραμ 13 για το κέντρο .Μπορούσες να παραγγείλεις πίτσες και ό,τι άλλο φαγητό ήθελες απ' έξω και στο έφερναν delivery !!! Περάσαμε υπέροχα !!!Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα !!!

Great affordable hotel in Amsterdam’s Sloterdelaam area. Staff are excellent, rooms are good for the three star rating & location is quite good to city centre. We were on a long Euro trip so had to go cheaper accommodation options so we could do it & we were very impressed with the XO Hotel & would stay again. The thing we loved was that you could catch a tram/train very close to hotel (train 13) that took you into the city centre every 5-10 mins & there are food, drink & supermarket options right near hotel. Lastly check out the local watering hole “Bar Content” & make sure you meet Roy the owner (great guy & hospitality) & have a beer with the locals, they are awesome. I swear we were there for 6 days & by the 5th day everyone in local area knew who I was, I felt like a local the place is that friendly.

We took the free shuttle bus from the airport which took us to just down the road from the hotel, a quick150m walk. Very nice, helpful and smiling staff. We had two rooms, both were very clean and with a fresh smell, with lovely, comfortable beds. Nice bar and breakfast area, with great coffee and tasty breakfast.. Thank you for our stay, it set a great start to our first visit in the Netherlands! We would definately choose you again :-). As for some comments I have read on the view to the back: our room was to the back, very nice and quiet (no noise from planes at all) and as for the view, I liked how you have set out some plants in the back pathway, it looked tidy and nice enough.
