M43***62Ate with friends, restaurant is nice. Food was good and lots of it. Byriani was very good. Booked beforehand but perhaps not necessary. Pretty standard Indian food.Masaniello restaurant

M43***62This is the second time I have been to Masaniello. Enjoyed it the first time but last night the service let us down. We were seated and then ignored by the server for at least 15 minutes. Eventually, he gave us (for gave us read "smacked down on the table") the menus. He eventually came to take our wine order after informing us that the first two wines on the list were not available. He wanted our food order at the same time as the wine. We would really have liked to have at least had a sip of wine before eating but we were not given the time to do so. I found his whole manner abrupt and we felt rushed. At the end of the meal we did give him a tip because we were splitting the bill and it was easier to round it up but I didn't feel he deserved it and he didn't say thank you either. We chose this restaurant over a larger chain because we wanted to help out an independent during the current economic climate but I don't think I would rush back again.Kapucin

M43***62Me and my wife stopped in Richmond on the way back from an appointment and popped in for a coffee to get out of the cold.What a lovely spot, nicely furnished, relaxing, good music and nice art. But most importantly the coffee and cakes were really tasty. We spent a good 30 minutes just relaxing and enjoying some time inside before braving the cold again!If we happen to be in Richmond again, we would use again.The Metropolitan Tavern

M43***62Where do I start, first of all the food was outrageous and unbeatable, most of the plates that I ordered we’re loose of condiment and the dessert was icy-like in the center I think it was frozen. Not only the food wasn’t good but the service failed me too. The waitress wasn’t interested and when I ordered it seemed like she didn’t understand and was forced to. Really unprofessional. She didn’t respect the space limit between me and her which I was really concerned about. The manager didn’t help me when I had a concern about the food. Italian restaurant? Nobody was Italian there and the food didn’t taste like it, and it was very expensive. Was it gold plated? No and really surprised by it because THE FOOD WAS ATROCIOUS, why would I pay all that for something that bad. I rated a lot of restaurants but this is the first time that the food and service were both bad. FOR ANY REASON DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS RESTAURANT, ITS NOT WORTH IT.Slug & Lettuce Fareham
