Spent 1 night here and was pleasantly upgraded to a lovely room. Didn't stay long enough to use all the amenities. Excellent buffet breakfast to set you up for the day. This is an old building, full of character and in places, it's age beginning to show. Though perfectly clean, starting to look a bit tired. Lets put it this way, wouldn't suit those pedantic ****** in '4 in a Bed' Excellent location, just off the A1 but set in a beautiful rural location. Would I stay again? YES.

Excellent hotel with brilliant facilities very clean. Breakfast excellent. The only comment I had against was a more varied evening menu maybe slightly cheaper prices to eat in bar
