Reviews: 5 Island and Town Hopping Tour with Lunch
Guest User2025-10-01
We booked directly with Wanderlust Tours at their office on Waterloo and New Market Street one day before the experience. They accept cash as well as credit cards. Everyone in the office was courteous and friendly. Along with 20 people we boarded the tour bus in front of the office at 6:15 am and departed at 6:30 am in an air conditioned bus to Parika for 1.5 hrs where we were allowed time to buy breakfast and use the bathroom facilities. Chris (our tour) guide’s knowledge of the history of Guyana is admirable. He gave us an overview of the trip and his insights are truly fascinating. He is a true professional! The speedboat ride to Fort Island was about 15 minutes. We were able to buy fresh fruits along the way. Again - Chris’s knowledge was very valuable and helpful. We visited Fort Island, Bartica, Aruwai for a delicious meal and ended with a visit to Baracara falls with a white, frothy cascade of water falling into a shallow pools. We were given enough time to enjoy it before heading back to Parika. Walk with your swimwear and a towel. The waterfall is cool and refreshing. I enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it with Wanderlust tours. Ask for Chris - he is an encyclopedia of history and culture.

Reviews: One Cent Magenta Stamp Tour with Lunch
Guest User2023-07-20
We have just come from the One Cent Magenta Tour and we loved we every minute. A lovely couple bring it all to life and show and tell the story about the world's rarest and most expensive postage stamp which comes from Guyana. Lots of information and little surprises. The food was great and we learned lots. We are so glad we did it. You should do it too, we'll worth the money paid.
Reviews: Bicycle Guided Tour in Guyana
Guest User2024-03-08
Our guided bicycle tour of Georgetown was Delightful! Accompanied by my daughter and son-in-law, we met Jerilyn? At the assigned location at 8:00am after arriving in Georgetown at 2:am the same day. We pedaled through the streets, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the drivers being respectful and stopping when waved at. Our guide was passionate, adding depth to our exploration with fascinating anecdotes and personal insights. One highlight was indulging in the local street food scene at Bourda Market. From savory cassava balls to a soft puri, we enjoyed the Guyanese cuisine. It was a perfect complement to our sightseeing, since we had skipped breakfast. As we meandered through the streets, we marveled at the changes and bustling markets. From the historic St. George's Cathedral to the colorful Bourda Market, and the Walter Rodney Anthropology museum, we got an overview of Georgetown Overall, our bicycle tour was a memorable experience that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the charm of Georgetown, Guyana. A big thank you to our guide for such a wonderful adventure! Just wait a day after arrival to schedule so you’re not too tired!
