Although only the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Concordia in the east area are well preserved, and the Temple of Zeus, which should have been the most spectacular, was destroyed by an earthquake long ago, leaving only the foundation (the Temple of Hercules next to it still has eight columns), but the display of the remaining parts of the male statues at the corner is still very regrettable after being completed, and you can imagine the scale of the temple at that time. The entire temple area gives people a magnificent and imposing feeling, and the open view overlooking the whole city makes people feel the grandeur of the ancient Agrigento during its heyday. It is worthy of being one of the most important ancient Greek temple architectural remains in the world.

Kiki_hktravelbeautiful place! blue sky and white cliff! climbing up is fun! your clothes might get some white powders too.inconvenient to go by bus. they have some private cab near arigento train station. price varies! at first they said eur 70 round trip... eventually eur50... however, they charged us eur80 at last! :(better drive!
