MissfoodiesDuring our self-driving tour in northern Spain, one of our stops was the island of Gaztelugatxe. The TV series "Game of Thrones" has contributed a lot to the world-famous Gaztelugatxe Island, as it is one of the filming locations for one of the classic scenes in Game of Thrones, so it attracts tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world to check in every day! Gaztelugat Island stands like an isolated island with a monastery on top. If you want to reach the monastery on the top of the island, you must do enough work beforehand! Because this attraction is so popular, if you want to visit Gaztelugat Island, you have to register online one or two months in advance, because the number of places available to visit the island is limited every day! Since we couldn’t get a quota, we could only admire the view from a distance. But we were very grateful because on the first day we drove up the mountain, visibility was extremely low and we had to go up the mountain again on the second day to see the true face of Mount Lu! Even without the blessing of Game of Thrones, being able to see the unique landscape of strange peaks and rocks along the Basque coast at one time is already worth the trip!
