SonnySideUpDiscovering the Magic of Shirakawa-go with Your Little OnesAs a family, we recently embarked on a day trip to Shirakawa-go, and it was truly a journey to remember. This enchanting village in Gifu, Japan, is a treasure trove of traditional gassho-zukuri houses, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. Here’s how we made the most of our adventure with our young explorers.Morning in Shirakawa-goWe arrived in the village around 10:00 AM, just as the morning sun was casting a golden glow over th

王DuduMaggieGaoshan is a small town... I got up around 5 o'clock last night and it was very quiet... I had to pay attention to the time... but if you want to take some real travel photos, it's very good...

Cherry_wyhOkuhida Onsen Village is composed of five hot spring villages, including Hirayu, Fukuchi, and Shinhotaka. The transportation is not particularly convenient and you need to take a bus from Takayama to get there. The whole hot spring village is very quiet and is especially suitable for visiting in winter. You should stay for at least 2-3 days, experience various hot spring hotels, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the snow-capped mountains up close. It is definitely worth a visit.

拓尚It is located deep in the mountains of Gifu, relatively close to Toyama. It is relatively close to Komatsu Otani Airport and within easy reach. This is a place to enjoy the atmosphere, and there is nothing particularly special about it. You can enjoy the old-fashioned scenery and slow life.

翱翔的大鲨鱼This is the ancient street of Takayama City in Gifu. It is very charming and looks like a small Kyoto. This area is full of old-style buildings, Ebisudaigumi-machi, all of which are wooden old buildings. I am very lucky to see this rare beauty. However, no matter how beautiful it is, I might freeze to death if I live in such a cold place all the time.

ming.l.paOn my original itinerary, Magome-juku was a place I could have skipped due to its distance, but I'm glad I insisted on going 🥰, and it became the most worthwhile part of my trip. Besides its beautiful scenery, the traditional Japanese classical style is fully displayed here. Visitors can enjoy a different view as they ascend and descend the slopes. We arrived around 4:00 PM, just before dusk, so we didn't have much time to stay. If you're interested, you can arrive a little earlier to see more of the scenery.

sseonIf you don’t have a good understanding of Japanese history, you shouldn’t have much interest in this place. After all, this is a small city famous for Oda Shinagawa. There are transportation and tickets packages for visiting here. If you want to climb the mountain yourself, you don’t have to buy it. Because the package includes the round-trip cableway of Jinhua Mountain, and Qiyi City rose on the cableway on Jinhua Mountain and saw the scenery below. It was really sky blue and cloud white.
