M29***51To travel to Lhasa, the Potala Palace is more attractive than the tourist attraction, and the Potala Palace in the night is more charming. Under night, the Potala Palace was gently wrapped in light, and the golden roof glowed against the light, as if set with countless gems, and the entire palace was more distinctive under the black background, which was particularly majestic. Lhasa at night, the sky is pure, the air is fresh, standing on the Potala Palace Square, watching the lighted palace, feeling the quiet and sacred atmosphere around, people's hearts get a great shock and purification.

_TS***l3My son and I visited in off season late January 2020 and there weren’t many people in the square. We took loads of pictures and got some friendly local Tibetan kids involved too. Good fun. The weather that day was quite windy and very cold. So, if travelling to Lhasa Potala Palace at that time, be sure to bring warm clothes and a hat, scarf and gloves.

KevinZou226This is the highest tourist attraction. The Potala Palace on the riverbank is particularly eye-catching at night. The scenery is really beautiful and amazing. The Lhasa River Bridge is magnificent, brightly lit and full of cars. The Lhasa River Wetland Park is huge and has a lot of greenery.

卡皮巴拉游世界Zongjiao Fukang Park, located at the foot of the Potala Palace in the center of Lhasa, is an ideal place for Lhasa citizens and tourists to relax. This park combines natural beauty with cultural heritage, with ancient willow trees, tranquil lakes and rich wildlife. The park is divided into four seasons, the autumn is golden and the winter is a paradise for migratory birds. It not only provides a beautiful environment, but also has a number of cultural activities, which is a great place to experience Tibetan culture and enjoy the beauty of nature.

可爱长大的仙女yJokhang Temple has a history of more than 1,300 years and holds a supreme position in Tibetan Buddhism. Jokhang Temple is the most splendid Tubo-era building in Tibet. It is also the earliest civil engineering structure in Tibet and pioneered the Tibetan flat-style temple market layout. The circle around the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall in the center of Jokhang Temple is called "Nangkor", the circle around the outer wall of Jokhang Temple is called "Bakor", and the street radiating from Jokhang Temple is called "Bakor Street" or Bajiao Street. The large circle with Jokhang Temple as the center and including the Potala Palace, Yaowang Mountain and Ramoche Temple is called "Lingkor". These three rings from the inside to the outside are the routes for Tibetans to perform the circumambulation ceremony.

GeographerTianhai Night Market is a snack mecca in Lhasa. I am still savoring the taste of roasted lamb’s trotters and roasted tendons. The cumin is particularly strong and the roasting time is just right. I went there to eat roasted lamb’s trotters every night during the few days I was in Lhasa!
