The Genghis Khan statue is about an hour's drive from the city of Ulaanbaatar. The surrounding environment is open, and the statue itself is 40 meters high, showing the majestic image of Genghis Khan riding a horse. There is a museum in the base of the statue, which displays cultural relics and historical introductions related to the Mongolian Empire, and there are two boutiques for tourists to buy souvenirs. Visitors can take the elevator and climb the stairs to the observation deck at the horse's head to overlook the vast grassland scenery from a high altitude. The horse head part of the statue can be walked up from the inside to experience a unique perspective [user-provided information]. In addition, there are 10 RMB horseback riding entertainment projects and activities to take photos with eagles. Such experiences are available in many places in Mongolia. Due to the remote location and time-consuming transportation, it may be a bit tiring to go alone, so it is recommended to arrange a visit on the way to Terelj National Park. Terelj National Park is about 66 to 80 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar, about an hour's drive away. It is a popular natural scenic spot in Mongolia, with magnificent grasslands, peculiar rock landforms such as the Turtle Stone, and tranquil temples and yurt camps. Visitors can experience horseback riding, hiking, and even stay in yurts to experience Mongolian nomadic culture. There are also attractions such as the Turtle Stone and temples nearby, and you can choose to stay in the yurt camp next to the stone, making the journey more rich and interesting [user-provided information]. In summary, the Genghis Khan statue is an important cultural landmark in Mongolia. It is suitable for visiting with Terelj National Park. You can experience history and culture, get close to nature, and experience the unique grassland style of Mongolia. Weather: The average temperature in Ulaanbaatar in June is about 14.7°C, the highest temperature during the day can reach 20.7°C, and the lowest temperature at night is about 7.7°C. The weather is generally cool and dry. Car rental arrangements Renting a car is a more convenient option for traveling in Ulaanbaatar and its surrounding areas, especially when planning to visit more distant attractions such as the Genghis Khan Statue and Terelj National Park. Local car rental companies mostly provide self-driving and driver-assisted services, and it is recommended to book in advance. The road conditions are mostly paved and gravel roads. The road conditions in some scenic spots are relatively rugged, so four-wheel drive vehicles are more suitable. When renting a car, please be sure to bring a valid driver's license and understand local traffic rules. Since the scenic spots are relatively scattered, renting a car can greatly improve the flexibility and efficiency of the itinerary.

The breath of true wilderness lingers within the vast, boundless Khastai Mountains. Although not far from bustling Ulaanbaatar, the bumpy road proves that enjoying these stunning views is no walk in the park—preferably a sturdy vehicle, preferably an SUV! A challenging 13-kilometer drive along a bumpy dirt road leads to the park entrance. Near the entrance are numerous yurts and buildings offering accommodation and dining options—note that the buffet in the main building requires advance reservations to avoid long waits. After purchasing the park's 70,000 Mongolian tugrik entrance fee, you can first visit the museum (which seems mandatory, as you'll be guided by a park official). The museum, housed in a yurt, offers a glimpse into the magnificent history of the Khastai Mountains and the vibrant life they nurture, particularly the Przewalski's horse. In a separate yurt nearby, you'll watch an introductory video—honestly, it's rather dull, especially the latter part, which touches on politics. Try leaving early. Afterwards, ticket holders can drive their vehicles (or hire a driver) deeper into the park along the dirt roads. The park has only one main road, so after exploring, you should return the same way—just in time! We recommend turning back after reaching a saddle area flanked by steep, stunning rock formations. Don't forget to look for precious signs of Przewalski's horses and wild deer along the way! Don't despair if you can't find any; you'll often see adorable marmots along the way.
