Sorry for the late review. Our (family of 4) trip was in early of November 2025. Weather was great on the day we went and everything went smoothly (a little worried since the cable car service was suspended the day before). Beautiful scenery. Luckily there was a small cafe on top so whomever was getting too cold could go in to have a nice cup of hot beverages and snacks. Blue moon lake is truly beautiful. Impression of Lijiang was quite enjoyable too. Lots of restaurants at the tourist center. Overall, it was a nice trip. Thank you.

The vast and quiet Dianchi Lake was shocked by the open waters at first sight. The lake was silvery in the sun, and a few red-billed lizards were dotted in the distance. Everything seemed peaceful and harmonious. I went in the evening, the sunset spilled on the lake, dyed the water and the sky a warm color, the soft light and wind made people unconsciously relax. There are trails and viewing platforms by the lake. When walking, you can see locals fishing and running by the lake. The atmosphere of life is very strong. The meadows reflect the water, the reflection sways gently, one step at a time. Dianchi Lake is not only a geographical business card in Kunming, but also an exit where the city's rhythm slows down. The place is beautiful.. before going to the cable car rides, there are stairs to climb. Next to it are souvenir shops.
I am not sure this place is worth 300 yuan per person, especially in the rainy season when the clouds obscure a lot of views, but at least I liked the 7 dragon pools area and the scenic route to the other cableway. The glacial lake on the top was also nice but a bit underwhelming. If you're in Dali for multiple days - give it a try, otherwise perhaps choose the cheaper option.

The scenery was breathtaking. Water was crystal clear. We went on a lull period so it was very peaceful and quiet. We took a didi to lige peninsula but couldn’t get a didi back. Nobody picks up our booking. Luckily the original didi driver gave us his number but he charges cny80 to take you back to daluoshui village. It was only cny17 to get there. Better to pay him to wait for you at the lige peninsula viewing platform for cny50

You can enjoy hiking in this national park if you have time and your health is prompt, or you can use shuttle but which can save your energy a lot.
Tickets purchased on Trip.com must be redeemed at the train station. Inside the station, there's no distinction between people and vehicles, which is very dangerous. ‼️ Once you get on the train, someone will measure your blood oxygen level, tell you it's low, and ask you to buy rhodiola rosea. For me, you can skip the insides of the temples and pay more attention to the surrounding scenery and Pagodas. Go early to avoid the crowd. I was there at 0820 am hardly any crowds. They start coming around 0900 am. Take the pictures you want near the pagoda then take the buggy up the top. Then take the steps down to the bottom. It makes a huge difference
