Enjoy the scenery of Queenstown while riding the cable car. The cable car ride gives you a panoramic view of the entire Queenstown landscape. Up to the observation deck above the scenery is even more stunning: including the town, the entire lake plus the nearby peaks are very stunning.

This was the best attraction of my North Island trip. I thought I wouldn't understand it since I hadn't seen The Lord of the Rings, but the guide explained a lot about the story. The whole Hobbiton was lovely and cozy. As we were about to enter Hobbiton in the car, the sight of sheep all over the hillside, accompanied by the Lord of the Rings movie music on the bus, was truly touching. I had never seen so many sheep before. Finally, we went inside the Hobbit houses. The wooden decor smelled wonderful, and there were all sorts of adorable scenes inside. I took countless photos and videos. We ended the tour with a drink and then took the car back to where we boarded. I highly recommend Hobbiton.

You won't find the entrance on the ground level, take an escalator inside the hotel and go down to the basement. Although i find the admission fee is a bit high but a tall sky tower overlooking the city of Auckland is a must see... don't miss it.

Milford Sound is like a magical movie! When you are on a boat, giant waterfalls on both sides of the river crash into the emerald sea from the cliffs, such as Stirling Falls, and the water vapor hits you with rainbows. The steep cliffs are covered with moss, seals lie lazily on the rocks, and the snow-capped peaks in the distance are looming in the clouds. It is even more amazing when it rains and fogs, the mountain peaks are shrouded in mist, the sea is dark blue, as if the whole world is quiet and only the sound of water remains. It is so shocking!

The scenery from the cable car is beautiful, and the luge is a must-try. There are 5 different routes and lengths, some of which are very exciting with big turns. Afterwards, you can take the car up the mountain for a second ride, which is even more fun than the cable car. I highly recommend this activity when visiting the North Island.

Standing on the shore of Lake Tekapo, I was shocked by the deep blue, as if the earth cracked a gap, the sky was poured into the lake. The lake surrounded by snowy mountains was calm as a mirror, reflecting the changes of clouds and light. When participating in Earth & Sky stargazing, the Milky Way poured down, the stars were within reach, and the guide's explanation brought the mystery of the universe close to you. Walking along the lake, the white figure of the Shepherd's Church blended with nature, and the tranquility was divine. This is not only a feast of vision, but also a destination for the soul, every moment makes people intoxicated with the pure and tranquil nature.

Just 5 km from down town Auckland it’s the highest volcano in Auckland on Mt Eden. The last eruption was about 15,000 years ago, leaving a crater 50Mt deep. Walk to the top of Mt Eden Volcano, there you’ll get a 360° view of Auckland so long as the rain stays away.

This is one of my most beautiful walks in Auckland. There are a variety of things to see like the museum, gardens, ponds and ducks. It is peaceful, quiet and very clean. Truly enjoyed my afternoon walk in the Domain.

Wanaka Lake is the fourth largest lake in New Zealand. It is the location of the popular tourist attraction, a lonely tree, about 70km northwest of the destination, Queenstown. The tree in my mind should look like Figure 5, but in the season without rain, "loneliness" can be so close to us [snickering]. It was dusk when we arrived in Queenstown. ​

Queen Street is one of the most distinctive and worthwhile shopping streets in Auckland's Central Business District. It's lined with shops, including clothing stores, electronics shops, and food courts. It's a must-see for anyone visiting New Zealand.
