Nice place to visit for a taste of the local culture.
An interesting attraction that offers an inside look at Bedouin lifestyle and culture, Heritage Village depicts what a typical oasis village would have looked like. There are several small shops where artisans display hand crafted goods and demonstrate their techniques. Live animals traditionally used for transportation are also available for viewing. The cafe/restaurant inside Heritage Village serves great Arabic dishes and offers breathtaking views of the city. Overall, an interesting attraction and great for kids.
Wasn't sure what to expect, yet even so I was disappointed. Most of the artisan workshops were closed when I went, and there wasn't much to look at. A few women were peddling cheap touristy souvenirs that I could have found anywhere else. Secluded beaches that don't permit swimming. Fail.
