Heping Island belongs to the Zhongzheng District of Keelung City, located at the northern end of Keelung Port, east of the port, about 4 kilometers from Keelung City, covering an area of more than 66 hectares, and has formed "Lulian Island" with Taiwan's island. Due to the impact of the northeast monsoon wind and the erosion of the waves throughout the year, the natural landscape of Peace Island is strange, and the coast of Peace Island belongs to the subsidence coast, so it has created many strange shores and rocks, because of the unique government plan to open up the park as Peace Island. After three years of closure and refurbishment, it was re-opened in June 2012 and renamed "Peace Island Park". It initially planned three main blocks such as the sea swimming pool, Qiyan District and Passenger Service Center.
