Best authentic Thai restaurant for Siam SquareIf youre in the Siam Square area you probably know that decent (and affordable) nights out are difficult to come by, the shopping plaza eateries and hotel restaurants are pretty much your only options - but no longer!Off the beaten track, this restaurant and bar is trendy yet Thai, sophisticated both on the palate and plate.Jims is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, and the food is simply divine. Authentic Thai cuisine (of fine dining quality and service) is available during the day and evening, though lunch is a more casual affair to accommodate the tourism crowd to the museum located on the grounds. Highly recommend for a quiet night out, eating outside is lovely with the lotus pond filled with koi and accompanying solo dance performance at 9pm.
Touristy but niceThis place is a bit touristy with the museum, shop, restaurant and wine bar in the same premises. Surprisingly, it offers very good value. The food here is not expensive and the taste actually very good. And service is top notch. After a day or two of contemporary Thailand (shopping malls and trendy cafes), going back to the "old" Thailand with beautiful architecture is a nice respite.
Dinner at Jimsto give you the background Jim Thompson was an American who made a reputation with silk in Thailand, went to Malaysia in 67 with a bunch of mates and whilst strolling through the jungle on his lonesome, got taken by the Gorilla Militia... Ok I made up the last bit. The food is delicious and the setting is great. Priced similar to Aus but well worth it

Everything just tastes so good
Buena comida y servicio.
The food is good, but it's a bit overpriced considering their portion size
