The sea view here in Cabrillo Beach is quite good, and the sand is fine. Go all the way along the beach to the dock and look back at the dense houses on the hills in the distance. Someone at sea is playing with standing oars, very leisurely. There is also an aquarium near Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. The parking lot charges but is not expensive. It stays around $1 for a short time.
