The most importat museum of Catalunya and with fine collection from medieval until today.
It is located in the cone grams of hillside, built quite grand and luxuriant, along the stair, you can also see the world the first fountain, nearly hundred years later, still can use these facilities, but when. Along the way, all kinds of exquisite sculpture let you as if through to one hundred years ago, to aftertaste heyday glory of Spain, here, you always feel not enough use eye, because everything is so beautiful.
Had a great view of Barcelona from the steps of the museum. The museum itself was awesome!
Amazing museum. Beautiful inside and out. The Romanesque collection was the most impressive of all. Budget at least half a day even if you just want to stroll through all the exhibits. Admission is for 2 days with in-and-out privilege so keep your ticket safe. Audio guide costs extra but is very helpful if you really want to learn about the artwork. Coat check is free. There are two restaurants inside - a casual cafeteria and a fancier one serving exquisite (but expensive) buffet. Photos are allowed (no flash) so feel free to bring your camera. The ground outside the museum is stunning. It is one of the best place to get a good view of the city skyline. Not to be missed even if you are not a museum goer. Consider getting Articket if you plan to check out other museums such as Museu Picasso, Fundació Joan Miró or MACBA. It is a good deal (30 euro for all 6 museum visits) and you also get to skip the line for tickets.
