I was happy to celebrate my 31st birthday at this location! *venue is a nice size- not too big or small *decor is pretty *seating area with tables & chairs, get there early to get yourself a table (10ish) no need for V.I.P. Save your money! *food is so/so- nothing to brag about *djs play great music; we danced all night long; every song was on point *bartender is friendly; slow; but good service *bathrooms were NOT clean, sinks were not working properly at the time of visit. *drink prices reasonable- bottle of wine in the $30s Overall I would go back to this location
Four of us recently had dinner here and while we enjoyed it, we have to admit this is more of a lounge than a restaurant. Appetizers were all good - especially the crab cakes. I went for my favorite for dinner - shrimp and grits. All I can say is it was good, but not the flavors I would have had in NC or Tennessee. Also had live music which was enjoyable but made conversation difficult. All in all worth a visit however.
Having cell phone alerts on your phone has it's benefits when you are on the way to the airport and find out you have an extra 1.5 hours before you take off. I took full advantage and booked in Savvor on Open Table. After explaining my fortune to hostess Erica and waittress Zaire, I ordered a delicious Home Sangria with Maker's Mark Bourbon along with the House Gumbo with shrimp, chicken, sausage and jasmine rice. They comped me the drink and brought me homemade warm cornbead with honey butter. The gumbo was on the spicy side ( as advertised ) and savory. Because I had eaten a late lunch, I decided to stop while I was ahead. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend it for anyone. The atmosphere is very relaxed as well, and the service was exemplary.
Went on a Fri night. Really wanted to like this place but it just wasn't happening. The positives were the band; they were great but the music was way too loud. Hostesses and waitresses were friendly, prompt and very attentive and the decor is cool and trendy. Everything was great until the food came. Ordered the jerk wings for app. Very tasty and well done but these are not jerk. teriyaki maybe, but not jerk. For the main course, we ordered the coconut curry stew and the chicken and waffles. The coconut curry stew was good although the curry sauce was a bit watery and the rice was overcooked, it was very tasty. The chicken and waffles. Such. A. Disappointment. It was my first time having chicken and waffles and if that is how it is, I don't want to ever eat it again. It was awful. Probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The chicken had no flavor, no seasoning, no nothing. Just bland. The waffles, which were thick and dry, tasted like it just came out of the freezer and was quickly zapped in the microwave with the chicken thrown on top. Eggo's comes to mind. Lastly, the drinks were a fail. Way too much juice/soda and very little liquor. Like I said earlier, I really wanted to like this place and maybe I'll try again but I don't know....
