車埕站是集集鐵路支線的終點站,純木質的結構透露着迷人的懷舊氣息。這裏曾經因興建大觀發電廠以及作為南投的木材集散地而興盛一時,如今還結合了以前木工廠的特色,開發出各種相關產品,如木製生活用具、木桶型鐵路便當盒等。
