Copenhagen is a great city for espresso, and Kafferiet is one of the cafès that helps to uphold that reputation. I would say it is even better than Coffee Collective, which is also excellent. I came to Kafferiet twice during my honeymoon and the espresso was a great treat both times - nutty/caramel-y and full bodied, but with very little bitterness - I usually prefer the sweetness of brighter espressos, but this full-bodied cup was a cut above the rest, with no bitterness to speak of beyond the crema (and even the flavor of the crema was pleasant! - i usually take one sip and then scoop the crema out - no need for that here!) If you are a coffee lover, you would be doing yourself an injustice by missing an opportunity to taste the espresso here!
Coffee was not strong enough. Cappachino tasted like warm milk. Muffin was just OK. Prices were about average 22-50dkk). Hot chocolate was good but with dark chocolate. Staff was friendly which was a plus.
