We went here for brunch for the first time and had Mike as our waiter. He was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. My friends had the brunch buffet which had a wide variety and I had a few tapas. Our glasses were never dry and the food and drinks were FABULOUS! The fish tacos were fresh and delicious and the mango mojito was to die for! We will definitely be back and definitely ask for Mike as our waiter!!!
We loved that we could sit outside in Houston. The spring time is lovely here. It was fun to stay across the street and walk to dinner at such a vibrant place. There were party lights across the patio and live music inside. We had a great water that paced our tapas perfectly. We cant wait to return for a Sunday brunch!
This is a nice restaurant for socializing. We were here on Sat. late afternoon. Our service was good, our drinks were good, and the food was good. However, this is a Pappas style restaurant. Everything we tried was good but the ceviche came with 3 crackers with ceviche on them. It was good.
Houston has amazing restaurants and downtown is happening, so I expected much more from this place, especially considering it was doing such good business. It was overall quite mediocre--which is to say below average for Houston and especially for downtown Houston. The decor was OK. Very crowded, and festive, but nothing as unique as other places. Could have been a place in the mall. The food and drinks were also average, not bad but nothing special. The live music was advertised to be "Brazilian samba," but it was all in English and just sounded like light jazz elevator music. The only thing not average was the service--which was very poor. The hostess forgot all about my wife and I and we had to nag her several times before we finally got a table. When we did get there, the waitstaff was rushed and mediocre.
