更多胡適故居在上莊村內。清光緒二十三年(1897)建。正屋南向,磚木結構,二進三間兩廂,“回”形通轉樓。佔地208平方米,建築面積350平方米。門面二柱單門一樓式,上嵌磚雕等。門前黑底金字“胡適故居”橫額,下掛胡適中年畫像。東西分列茶几、靠背椅,壁間掛胡適直系親屬圖表。
西部是胡適與江冬秀結婚房間,房內有木床、桌、椅、櫥、凳等。前廂房是胡適童年讀書處。
東部房間連廂房為胡覺(胡適二兄)使用。正廳正廂房展出胡適家長手稿和部分著作、胡氏宗譜、海內外名士所贈字畫、詩詞和胡適“全家福”照片。
後堂進深較淺,堂前掛胡適父親畫像,東側有胡適生母照片。故居還陳列胡適各時期照片。

Shangzhuang, Mr. Hu Shi's hometown. How many years and how many times, always lack the courage to visit. After breakfast, a group of four people drove to Jixi Shangzhuang. Driving between such Daishan green water is not only a visual enjoyment, but also a new one of the five Zang-organs and six fu-organs. Unconsciously, we have arrived at Shangzhuang. Looking at it, the mountains in the north of the village are vigorous, continuous, reliable and surrounded. A stream in front of the village flows eastward and endlessly. Hu Shi's former residence is in this geomantic treasure land, there is no obvious place. There are also Hu Kaiwen Memorial Hall, the founder of Huimo, and Hu Tiehua's former residence. This Hu Tiehua is not a good friend of Chu Liuxiang written by Gulong, but Mr. Hu Shi's father. After the Sino-Japanese War, the ancestor remained in Taiwan to resist Japan until he was seriously ill in Xiamen and died in active service, when Hu Shi was just over three years old. In the middle of the last century, Mr. Hu Shi also went to Taiwan and died there. It was no accident that he wanted to come. In 2013, Shangzhuang Ancient Architectural Complex was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is currently being renovated and closed to the outside world. Even so, we went around it and finally stopped in front of a statue at the village entrance. This is Mr. Hu Shi's image. It's all black. As the flowers worshipped by the clan were shattered shortly after the Ching Ming Festival, it reminded me of the statue of Lawrence that I saw on the campus of Nottingham University in 2010. The size and color are almost the same, and everyday people put garbage in front of their statues. Lawrence, the world's literary giant, has always been disdained by his alma mater for his abduction of his master's wife. Mr. Hu Shi is open-minded and open-minded. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Mrs. Hu returned to Shangzhuang and once again invested in building the road from Shangzhuang to Jiangcun to benefit Sangzi and accumulate virtue. During this period, he also contributed a lot to the protection of Shangzhuang ancient buildings.
Hu Shi's former residence in Anhui Province, located in Shangzhuang Village, Jixi County, is a typical Hui style building built by Hu Shi's father. In the former residence, there are courtyards, compartments, transfer floors upstairs and living rooms downstairs. Beams and doors and windows have exquisite lotus, orchid carvings, indoor furnishings are still. In Mr. Hu Shi's married room, there are still other relics such as Zhu lacquer depicting gold, magnificent and elegant "Moon Palace Bed" and red lacquer box, seven-star sword and so on. On both sides of the compartment, there are paintings and calligraphy presented by Hu Shijiashu and celebrities from all walks of life. In the former residence, there is a plaque with gold characters on the red background, with the four characters "Festival Xuanwei" written on it. This is a gift from the government of the Republic of China when Hu Shi was the ambassador to the United States. Mr. Hu Shi's lifelong pursuit of freedom, democracy and scientific thinking is a model for a generation of intellectuals in China.
