If you're staying in Kathmandu a few days make sure you try this place. It is a brilliant introduction to the food of Nepal and just a generally wonderful experience. The place has a great vibe and terrific ambiance.

Stayed at Hotel Manang and enjoyed the food at Thamel Restaurant on a number of occasions trying items from breakfast, snack, chinese, dessert, Nepalese menus....a big range and all food was presented well, tasted great and served with a smile by the staff. Price moderately priced and on par with cost to be expected for quality food in a quality location. Would recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
