Foreign beers are not always easy to find in Japan, but this place has a wide selection (mostly European, and of course including Guinness). Even some Japanese craft beers. Lots of hard liquor also. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Sound level permits conversation (unlike the Man in the Moon at Kyoto Station). Halfway between two subway stations, and a bus stop just outside the door.
My wife and I came here as the result of previous reviews and weren't disappointed. A great choice of beers as expected, the Guinness was served well with just the right amount of head. Inappropriately we had pizzas, both the olive/anchovy and the blue cheese/tomato were very good. There is a Family Mart convenience store opposite with a wide range of takeaway desserts!
I visited for dinner and had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent, battered and cooked very well. The chips and salad were a great accompaniment. I had a litre of cider to drink, a pint wasn't an option which seemed a little strange, for the novelty factor and given I probably would have had a couple of pints anyway, it was pretty good. The pub was pretty small and busy which only added to the atmosphere. I would recommend a visit to anyone looking for a little slice of home when travelling.
