There are text introductions in the General's Shrine - "worship the gods in legends, and courtiers in the middle of the Ping'an era. The Ginkgo Tree in the courtyard represents a legend, and the Duck-foot Shenmu is 800 years old.

The whole dark brown wooden building with golden lights, decorations and window frames and murals in the hall has a low-key but unstoppable sense of calm and gorgeous. Hidden around you is the prosperity and luxury of the Taoshan era.

The General's Shrine is worth visiting. We happened to be in the rain when we went.
