You'd never know that this ice cream (which comes in many tasty and innovative flavors as well as your standard chocolate, fruit, and nut combinations) was vegan if no one had told you. Creamy and delicious. Try it on one of their waffles, or have a coffee float. It's worth saving room when you dine at Sage, since this ice cream is at the heart of their dessert options.
I knew about them in one of my visits of Sage plant based Bistro in Culver city; I choose the mango "Ice Kreme" enough amount and a healthy option for a reasonable price.
Fabulous superfood ice-cream without real dairy-guiltfree and gourmet flavors. Not Ben n’ Jerry’s by any stretch of the imagination, but a good subsitute for all of the bad stuff in conventional desserts like ice-cream
I have been vegetarian for 28 years and visited Kindkreme with my non veggie boyfriend. When we walked in the vibe was pretentious; full of affected ‘hipsters’. I selected the Portabello Bacon Chili Cheese Burger and we tried to find something that my boyfriend would like. I suggested the Vegetable roll with sushi rice, nori, avocado, ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi on the basis that we check with the waiter exactly what it was before we ordered. We asked and he said it’s a vegetable roll! We asked if that was like a traditional spring roll/pancake roll served with rice. He was fairly disinterested but said yes that was what it was like. When it came out it wasn’t anything like a traditional spring roll/pancake roll served with rice, it was sushi. I wanted to give it back but my boyfriend said he was ok with it (because he didn’t want to make a fuss) and managed to eat half. There was far too much going on with my burger so I also left half of my meal. We struggled to get someone’s attention to explain that we wanted the bill but also wanted some vegan ice cream to go. Eventually we managed to get the attention of a waiter and I went to order the ice cream. For some reason it was incredibly difficult to get the server to understand that I wanted three scoops of ice cream in one tub. I got there eventually but then there was mass confusion and we ended up being short changed by $10 for already overprice food. An awful experience and I have tasted much better vegan ice cream.
