The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is a must visit while you're in Los Angeles!
intimate smaller exhibitions. well worth the visit and great bookstore/gift shop.
If you like Contemporary Art this is the place for you.
A little bit of edgy, contemporary culture. Maybe nothing says "Los Angeles" better.
So much awesomeness goes on in this museum!!! Some of my favorite exhibits were Takashi Murakami, a show curated by Mike D from the beastie boys and the graffiti one that had Banksy in it.The exhibit is one of the largest one I've seen in LA (but it is smaller than LACMA).Parking: Plenty of paid parkingAdmission: sometimes they have a great deal online (google around)
Great exhibits! Right now, they're doing one reflecting the film Rebel Without A Cause (1955).
Really interesting location. If you don't have a handy dandy GPS, you might have a hard time finding it. Most memorable art piece is the bloody red sanction room. It's a little creepy standing inside the room and suffocating! Tip: If you ask the receptionist, they might be able to give you a bundle price (visit 3 museum for a price of one in one day).
