I woke up hungry after arriving in town late the night before and this was just what I wanted. The salmon was lovely. It was very Jackson Pollack in presentation which was not unattractive but it was the flavor that won me over. The waitress was surly unfortunately, but I didn't let it bother me, just wondered if it was because I was an English speaker because I'm pretty sure I did nothing to offend her.
We nearly cancelled our booking before we sat down. The noise levels in the restaurant were enormous. And the music a heavy electronic disco beat. We had a drink in the bar and negotiated a table upstairs where noise levels were a little lower. Service was friendly and professional and the quality of the food good. Leaving aside the background noise the ambience could also be improved by reducing the bright lighting and buying some new candles!
We have all gone to restaurants and been met with indifference in both treatment and food and this one serves up both in spades. The service is perfunctory and the food is so ordinary one wonders how they stay open. And all wrapped up in a sad, passé, Euro-trash atmosphere. Oubliable.
The food isn't fresh! Salad was wilted. Main course seafood was not fresh. Some frozen others questionable. Meat was over cooked , too much oil left a puddle on the plate. Presentation was poor..mushrooms were ground into a paste and looked like baby poop on a plate. Service was good. Ambiance was horrible with exceptionally loud music and screaming conversation made the dining experience unpleasant. Overall we would have been better off at McDonalds.
