與好久不見的朋友聚會Ootoya大戶屋真是剛剛好，傳統日本居酒屋的食物和放鬆感，更傾向於餐廳環境的氛圍，一邊閑聊一邊看廚師烤制的全過程。燒烤蓋飯特別適合我這種纖維略柴的口感愛好者，烤魚脆焦香噴噴，每樣都沒雷區，不過套餐里的蘿蔔泥不如以前的蒸蛋來得誘人呢。你一口我一句的夜半，就是友誼在時光里的樣子。
這家日本料理餐館位於紐約市劇場區百腦匯大道附近的西41街，是一家裝修也帶有藝術性的餐館。這裏提供的日本料理品種很多，遠不是只有壽司和刺身這樣昂貴而單調的飲食。餐館客人比較多，經常會等座。

This is my second visit to Ootoya, last time I visit the one in Chelsea and this time I give the time square Ootoya a tries and it didn't disappoint me. 1) No reservation! many review point it out to get a reservation but I ask the host and she told me Ootoya don't accept reservation. I don't know about big party but you don't able to make a reservation for group of 1 - 4 2) only 15 minutes wait. The place was fairly crowed, when I step in I was told is about 30 minutes wait but after 15 minutes later they got us a table which I will tell you why later 3) Huge menu! Ootoya serve you more of traditional Japanese food, they serve Sashimi but not sushi, I ask the waitress and she told me they only have hand roll but not sushi. Also ask for set! don't just order single item, you get so much more for a set! 4) Time is money! Me and my girl we order a set, a noodle, chicken wing bbq, we were expecting them come to our table 30 minutes later but every were at our table around 15 minutes, the service is really quick and that kind the explain why we waited for long 15 minutes to get a table because they were table to push their food out of the kitchen very quickly. 5) The food was amazing! I still thinking about it when I step out of the restaurant! everything is cook to the perfection and I can't wait till my next trip here. (for those lady out there please order the graph fruit champagne! so good!) 6) They Don't accept tip! I use my credit card to pay for our food, it only come out around $65 and when we looking at the receipt we couldn't find a line to give them tip. I ask our waitress and she told us they don't accept tip anymore. my reaction was like !!!! maybe they added to the food price but the price of the food is still cheap when you think about having a dinner in NYC for only $65 I highly recommended Ootoya for everyone who want to have some decent Japanese food (not sushi) with low budget.
