Tracking down the restaurant is a bit tricky. It is best known as being in the Niseko Loft Club. If you are staying in Hirafu as we were then expect a 10-15 min ride and to pay about 3,000 yen for a "jumbo" taxi (we were a party of 7) or 2,000 yen for a normal taxi. You need to pre-order the lamb and beef in order to guarantee you get what you want on the day. We had pre-ordered one portion of meat for each person but we ended up topping up with 3 more portions and we were lucky they were able to oblige. the beef is excellent but the lamb is truly exceptional. Be prepared to do some bbq so expect your clothes to smell of charcoal - its all part of the fun and the kids loved it.
First of all, there is no beef! But nice lamp and Chicken from Hokkaido. Lamp is must order so if you don't like lamp. Please skip now! Make reservation fist because of limited seat and opening hours, closing at 9:30 and final at 9pm. Vegetable must must try corn and grilled garlic! Niseko saki/Japanese wine is light. To those people who like to go with some alcohols but light!
(early July-2015) We went back to this place after knowing that we were not lost (having confirmed the hotel location). It is near to the hotel where we will be staying for the night. The sign board caught my attention as we passed earlier. I had wanted to try the real Genghis Khan meal (very simple - lamb, bean sprouts n onion plate, self-BBQ style ) in Hokkaido for sometime already. Guess we were there off season, we were the only diners that afternoon. Very quiet, with nice natural view out of window. Parking is available, surrounding this oval shape building. There is a flight of stairs up to the dining place. Menus are reasonably priced n delicious. Do pick the higher graded lamb meat. Definitely worth the extra. Potato was good too.
