The atmosphere always seems friendly in here. Plenty of choice on the menu but generally "American" style food - soups, burgers, chicken, steak, some fish choice and salads etc. We did have a "balloon lady" come around the tables offering to make balloon shapes for kids which was nice but it did make you feel 'obliged' as such, to tip, especially as she was wearing a big badge saying "I work for tips"... Not sure what I think about this, but you can always say no, and it doesn't hurt the pocket too much. At least you know that you might make a difference for someone. Entrée, main and desserts all satisfied. A good..not too posh, family restaurant.
I'm not usually into chain restaurants as most are just average and provide standard fare. However, this Applebee's is a nice place for drinks and appetizers. A friend came into town and wanted a quick bite and a drink after getting off the airplane. I had not been to this neighborhood Applebee's and decided to give it a try. My friend commented that this was a much nicer Applebee's (decor) then in her area (Denver) and we had a nice experience. The service was good, the Long Island Iced Teas were very good and we had boneless chicken bits that were tasty. Not sure if I will be back again, but it's nice to know I have a good chain restaurant in the neighborhood if needed.
I gave them 1 Circle only because TripAdvisor won't let me give less than one Circle and still do a review. Is there the other day with friends we both ordered the ribs that were so tough I try so hard the manager tried to tell if they were overcooked. When ribs are overcooked the meat next to the Bone it's not red that is undercooked we tried to tell him that but he insisted they were overcooked. He did offer to replace a meal but since this is the third or the 4th time I have been there and none of my experiences we're good we continue to be undercooked pork along with the over battered onion rings. They were so over battered you can hardly taste the onion. I didn't reread the menu to see if they called they're called slaw creamy or not because there was definitely no mayonnaise in that cold slaw it was like eating dry shredded cabbage.. this was my last time going there never never again
