Technical difficulties aside (and there were many this past time), the Fantasmic as Disneyland is far better on an artistic level. I'm not quite sure why Mickey's imagination would feature pre-colonial era miners and a corrupt religious figure from France, but I digress. We're talking about the imagination of a troubled mouse here.Lines are long so FastPass+ this one.
One of my favorite shows in Disney I would see it again.
Amazing water show! Located at the New Orleans section of the park.
Don't miss this!!We were completely amazed by the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios. Water fountains, fireworks, lasers, projection images, boats...you name it, it was there. Don't miss this one! There are lunch/dinner packages that will get you reserved seats for the show. Otherwise you'll want to get to the amphitheater at least 60 minutes prior to the show starting. They've added some pre-show entertainment to keep the crowd from losing their minds with boredom until the show starts.Once its over, take your time getting out. You'll feel like cattle being herded through a narrow passageway. :)
All I can say is: WOW! This is a really unique show. Fireworks, water effects, lasers, and Disney characters that include Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent. It just doesn't get much better than this. The downsides: It only happens at night. It doesn't run every night. It is always crowded, even during the second show. If there is a second show. Seating happens as much as 90 minutes prior, and fills quickly.
My favorite show in Disneyworld. The combination of story, music, character spotting and fireworks makes it an all-around exciting experience. The amphitheater is designed so you can get a good view from any seat. It is cancelled by rain or strong winds, so keep that in mind.
I'm not one for nighttime shows at Disney World simply because I'm so exhausted by that time. All I want to do is head back to the resort and hit the sack. This show definitely kept me awake and held my attention. I didn't enjoy the pre-show scramble of finding a seat, though.
