I had a great meal there. This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at my hotel. The food was great and the service was excellent. Prices were reasonable considering what you got. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for delicious french cuisine.
We ate here on the recommendation of the staff at our hotel. As it turned out, you could almost see the restaurant standing in front of the hotel. The staff was nice, and brought us right to a table. The food was good, except that I had the lobster ravioli, which was relatively hot, but the sauce on it we not very hot at all. They had bleed the sauce and pour5ed it over the ravioli, so it was bubbly looking, which I first thought was from heat but I was wrong. It was warm at best! My wife had a roasted fish dish. The fish was cooked properly but it was a little plain, due to the fact that there was no sauce or garnish of any kind, except for some couscous type starch. Not the gourmet dinner we had hoped for.
I have traveled extensively in France and eaten in hundreds of cafés and restaurants, from tiny bistros to Michelin three-star palaces. My experience at Le Carre was the worst!! The restaurant was grossly understaffed but that did not explain it all. I watched diners receive the wrong food and the table next to us and us receive the wrong wine. Worst of all, we were in the restaurant for an hour and a half and had not received our main courses. We paid for our cocktails, wine and entrees and left hungry and very annoyed.
